Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Unpredictable Old Man

Clara was very pleased to see Arthur's annoyed expression. As she was about to leave the Ruby Hotel, she accidentally saw Danton and his cousin Alysa getting out of a car. Clara stopped in her tracks and deliberately approached them.

"I'm surprised, with so many hotels to choose from, why did we have to meet here!" Clara said curtly, crossing her arms.

Danton and Alysa were, of course, very surprised to see Clara standing in front of them.

"You! You're still alive!?" Danton pointed at Clara with wide eyes! "I thought you were dead, bitch!" he added.

"Oh, my dear cousin... how are you? It seems your life isn't as difficult as I imagined," Alysa teased. "Where did those nice clothes come from? Is your job now to be a bad girl after Danton left you?" Alysa laughed out loud, as did Danton.

"Why don't you both burn in hell!" she said angrily, clenching her fists. "And you, Danton! I gave you everything... everything! How could you do this to me! What did I do to you? How could you betray me?"

"It's simple! Because you're boring!" Danton said casually.

"What? I'm boring?" Clara frowned, unable to believe the words of the man she once loved.

Alysa suddenly hugged him and they kissed in front of Clara... deliberately provoking her. "Alysa is much better than you! She has everything you don't have!"

"You!!" Clara clenched her jaw, her hands itching to slap this jerk, but she had to be patient because the game hadn't started yet.

"Honey, why do we have to waste our time serving this damn woman! I don't want my body to be contaminated by her. You better finish what you started," said Alysa in a spoiled voice.

"I feel the same way, dear. My whole body feels itchy after meeting her," added Danton. The man stepped forward and pushed Clara's body until she fell. "Move aside! If you still want to see the sun rise tomorrow, I suggest you don't show yourself in front of me again!"

"Don't bother my employees!"

Danton and Alysa turned to the source of the voice. Arthur came in confidently, his handsome face looking fierce.

"Your employee?" Danton raised an eyebrow. "What kind of work can a woman like her do? At best, she's just a call girl!" he sneered with a laugh.

Arthur smiled slightly, his eyes glancing at Clara, who was still sitting with her head down. "Even though she is a woman of the night, she is still better than the woman beside you."

"What! Hey, sir! Don't insult my girlfriend! Do you know who she is? She is the daughter of Jacob Ficanto, the owner of the Ficanto Hotel! Who are you to insult my girlfriend! Call your manager! I want to talk!" Danton ranted arrogantly.

"Honey, I can't accept being insulted! This hotel is really not worth recommending!" Alysa pulled Danton's arm, but this woman's eyes seemed to be stealing glances at Arthur.

"I'm the manager!" Arthur replied confidently. "And our hotel doesn't need visitors like you!" he added.

Because of this incident, the four of them became the center of attention for passersby. Some of them even recorded the incident on video.

Clara got up and cleaned herself up. Without saying a word, her hand landed smoothly on Alysa's cheek. Arthur and Danton were shocked, but Reinhard Garcia's granddaughter smiled slightly.

"You have no right to judge this hotel! How can you judge with your mouth full of filth? Don't make me laugh, cousin!" Clara mocked.

"You! How dare you slap me! Honey..."

Danton immediately rubbed Alysa's reddened cheek, blowing on it gently until Clara wanted to vomit. "Go! Go, all of you! Your attitude disgusts me!" she said angrily.

"Did you hear what my employee said? Go and don't come back!" Arthur replied in a heavy voice.

Danton and Alysa immediately left the Ruby Hotel. Clara's body trembled and she turned to leave Arthur.

"How are you?" Arthur asked flatly.

"Don't laugh at me! I know what you're thinking!" Clara didn't turn around, she continued to walk away from Reinhard Garcia's grandson without Clara knowing that this man was staring at her with a little anxiety and worry.

"Follow Miss Clara!" he said on the other end of the phone.

'Clara Delevon... what kind of woman are you?'

Bungalow Restaurant, the place where Clara met Reinhard Garcia. She rushed to the restroom and tidied herself up, covering everything perfectly, adjusting her facial expression and her very messy mood.

'For my family's sake, I have to be strong!' she thought to herself.

"Good afternoon, on behalf of Mr. Reinhard Garcia," she said at the restaurant reception desk.

One of the male waiters nodded and took her to meet the founder of Ruby Hotel.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Reinhard. I'm sorry I'm late," said Clara when they met face to face.

Reinhard remained silent. Clara glanced at him; the expression on this man in his 60s was completely flat.

"Is the old man angry because I'm late?" thought Clara.

Reinhard didn't speak for a few moments, his eyes fixed on the beautiful young woman in front of him.

"What's wrong, Mr. Reinhard? Why are you looking at me like that?" Clara asked cautiously.

"Are you okay?" asked the old man.

"Yes, I'm fine," Clara nodded.

"Hm, I'm glad to hear that. I was very worried that something had happened to you."

Clara carefully considered Reinhard's words. She didn't want to take any risks and cause trouble with this old man, Arthur Volkskrant.

"You haven't ordered anything to eat, Mr. Reinhard? Would you like me to order something for you?" Clara noticed that the old man's table only had a glass of water on it.

"Miss Clara, do you believe in karma?"

"I believe more in logic, sir."

Clara carefully considered Reinhard's words. She didn't want to take any risks and cause trouble with this old man, Arthur Volkskrant.

"You haven't ordered anything yet, Mr. Reinhard? Would you like me to order for you?" Clara noticed that the old man's table only had a glass of water on it.

"Miss Clara, do you believe in karma?"

"I believe more in logic, Mr. Reinhard," Clara replied without hesitation.

"I see. All right. Let's order some food. You order it," said the old man Arthur with a broad smile.

'What does Mr. Reinhard mean? This old man is really unpredictable!' thought Clara.

Clara immediately opened the food menu that had been provided on the table. She didn't know what Reinhard Garcia's favorite food was, but judging from his personality, this old man would definitely choose food that was simple yet elegant.

The waiter entered after Clara rang the bell on the table. Confidently, she gave the food order to the waiter. Reinhard just smiled and nodded at the waiter.

"I hope my order doesn't disappoint you, Mr. Reinhard," said Clara.

"I trust your abilities, Miss Clara. But others may not."

'Others? Does he mean Arthur Volkskrant or...?'

"There is something I want to discuss with you, Miss Clara. It's about your family's Diamond Star Hotel."

"Go ahead, Mr. Reinhard."

The old man handed Clara a brown envelope. However, he did not allow her to open it.

"Not here! There are too many eyes and ears!" Reinhard said firmly.

Clara nodded. Soon, the waiter returned, but instead of bringing Clara's order, he brought something that surprised her... something bigger than she had imagined.
