It was only about half an hour later as that's he came to just regret his very decision in life as he just spotted a Grimm but this was different as it was bigger And it was stronger than before as he has seen grim but they were more like wolves then this as Jaune tried to pick up his weapon and place them in display infornt of him as he was ready to fight it and started to place yourself into a battle stance as he was just standing there as the very monster was bigger than anything else he has seen now.
As then the Monster started to swing around It's very fists towards him as he blocked the first one but not the second one as it's sends him flying against the wall beside him as it did hurt as when the collision happened as he felt his entire breath being taken away as His lungs as it was quite painful as that very experience as he can finally see the monster as it started to look towards him as it was as looking down on him like he was just a pest right in front of him as he saw his eye's his very glowing red eyes as he could figure out its white mask of an armor on him as it was just confirmed by his very appearance as it's just started to step forward into the light as now that he can Finally identify it now and it was just better that He did not know as his very eyes start to widen up as seeing as just what stood before him was something out of children's book as just in front of him stood the mighty monster that has killed hundred no More than a thousand huntsman before him The creature that was so feared that as many try to avoid them as possible as it was a bull like monster that stood on as it's very two strong hoes and His long muscular arms Could be seen stretched out as it even had a weapon in his hands along sword as it's very horns could be seen spatted out and then it has more than six eyes three at each side as it was no other than the mighty monster of the very dungeons of these forest lands now.
The might Grimm Minotaur

s this very particular Grimm is founded in the very deeper parts of the Dungeon in the Grimm land as many hunter and huntresses try to avoid this creature or fight it in a trio at best as it's an intelligent type of Grimm as it is ancient Grimm as it has just killed many great warrior and soldiers taking their gear and using it as their own skin as there was a time when they were so many of them as it's used to just conquer and destroy everything in its very path as when it just as crossed the Grimm Land's in ancient wars as he heard a story where many soldiers fought a bull that rival strength of an entire platoon and it just was formidable opponent until they made a plan as they had to lowered it down into the dungeon and kill it so make sure it was not able to move while this very striped it down It took them more than a few days to come up with a plan and that was the situation in the past but as there's a very much bigger as kind question now that As What the heck it was doing all the way up here as in the very forests of Mistral as it shouldn't be here as it was made sure a that only small Grimm Just inhabit these areas but considering this now the situation has changed drastically As he didn't know. And right now, he didn't care as he was concentrated on running for his life And maybe found and call for anyone's else or a proper huntsman now as he was just as afraid for the very first time in his life that's he encountered something he never thought in his entire life would this monster in front of him as then when he was thinking he lost.

As The Monster kept on punching his shield as he stood his ground but after a third one he lost balance and as fell back as he quickly got up as he started to swing his very sword towards it but it just step a side as he let the boy fall on his feet Infornt now as then a the boy as just get up again and as then started to swing his very sword again towards the very Grimm again as it just repeated as the same cycle again as swing and dodging as it had was planning with him at this point by now and then after a minute or two the boy was out of breath as he placed his sword on the ground as he leaned on it as he was just trying to catch his very breath as Jaune just looked up at the Grimm as it was just saw as the just looking at the moment as then jaune very thought were rushing into his mind as again so he did one thing as he started Just ran at the very Minotaurs with as the same previously unknown speedy he had used to flee from it earlier. "I won't make it in time," jaune realized as The Minotaur was already halfway from him to attack him as then he just was collided with something as it's was the wall as Jaune just already knew from his very failure just to escape the monster now is that are very much lower than before but it was faster than him and feeling of despair started to set in him and it was makings the very young boy very determination waiver.
But then a very gentle hand just come to his very shoulder and it embraced him as it was whispering him something as it was giving a him guidance from some sort " Don't give up now Jaune Don't prove them your failure as now and It's okay to lay down your weapons and to feel hopelessness as you can always a can come back home to your family we will never judge you for your actions As There's more to life than this as don't get up now as embrace yourself For who you are truly" as it was like a whispering of guidance from an elder But he snapped out as he started to get up and he will not bow down here He come this far he must see to the very end But then jaune's body was aching from this pain but as was infused with a very brilliant light as the very feeling it was just warm and cozy at the very moment as it was like a mother's warm embrace but it is even showing him a path to his victory as feeling of confidences again as the very despair he just felt was as banished away as it was just replaced with an very overwhelming strength and speeds as it did just made him feel like a hero of his very family legend now as suddenly he was just standing now again as he looked toward the Grimm as it was facing at the other side as it was sensing someone else entirely but it did anticipated the boy to call a threat to him as Jaune just started to run towards it's and he just shot forward like an arrow and jumped onto the very Minotaur's back now.
As then he just wrapping his legs around its torso and his left arm over its shoulder. The monster, not expecting a sudden impact, lost its balance and just stumbled onto all fours as now that the very human just in moment now just took advantage of the Grimm beast very momentary confusion as then jaune as just brought out his trusty sword and just as started to stabbed it into its very neck now a very gesture was just as getting annoying for the Grimm as it was now shaking him of his very body Unfortunately, as while the other side effects were occurring on his body as it was enhanced jaune's very body, as it didn't do the same for the very much cheap starter for his very armor the blacksmith daughters had just issued him now as his very sword a little bit clumsy handle with its grip as it did slip from his hands as the Minotaur did used this moment interest advantage as he took a gamble by getting up before ramming as his back against the wall breaking it and trying to crush the younger warrior but then as his very armored just shattered, as not leaving so much as a scratch on the Minotaur's skin as the very sword marks and stabbings were just different his It's wound from the swords marks weren't healing at all now as the very sword was a threat towards him So he will break it into as it was just proceeding with a agenda to destroy his opponents very sword and Then kill this pest once and for all see.... As Even with very his very strength as " it's was still too strong for me,"As Jaune thought as the very the confidence as the boys very a determination was starting to vanish but as Though he didn't go back to being paralyzed with fear, the adventurer no longer had any delusions that as he could kill this monster.
As he will try the whole process again as if was his very late choice to survive as Jaune just jumping up just onto the Minotaur and then ruining his very weapon only took one second, but it was enough time for the beast to shake off its very confusion again It stood back up swiftly and forcefully in an attempt to shake the Human off again "Woah!" As it was trying it's best Jaune went his very grip on the monster as loosening but not falling apart now as just realizing that just the very Minotaur's very next attempt as to get rid of him would be very much more violent then before now as the boys just desperately did the only thing as he could think of to harm the monster; he took his sword as still in his hand and stabbed as its jagged edge into the Minotaur's very eye's now but then the very beast just reacted immediately, as letting out its just first ever howl of pain as the very as the Minotaur thrashed around and bringing both hands up to the very damaged eyed as the very monster's violent motions ended up flinging jaune just over its very head and as onto the ground in front of the entrances of the cave as the Human spun around once in very midair before as roughly crashing into the ground again as he will not let go now as then he fall of on the ground as Jaune was in pian now as the very thrashing against the a cave wall now as he saw the entrance of the cave again as he knew what he must do as it was hopeless to fight that thing like this as a plus he did manage to injury it as it time for him to find a way to escape now as he picks himself up and as started to ran towards the entrance of the cave now as a mighty roars just echoed behind him as prompting him to just run faster and scream a little bit as boy was just scare as it might just catching up to him as he must run faster now as Jaune was just pretty we'll known as back in his town as just for beings very quite fast but as even as he wasn't confident that he could outrun the very grimm beast that was chasing him.
As It just wasn't supposed to be like this as it now as He had come here to get strong and as proving his father that he was ready to be like them and get his appreciation and then he will get permission to go and as attending the huntsman academies and become a very noble warriors like his ancestors save as the people around him and maybe just one day and find himself a cute girl like his father as did with his mother now and just to hook up and get married and have some children as with her now and Maybe surpassing him in terms of how many children he can have as that was his very dream as just like what his grandfather wanted for him as he should as did knew as there were risk's to becoming a an huntsman as just everyone who became one knew that as the monster of darkness as that roaming on the earth or just as bellows the very dungeons were defiantly strong but he made sure to keep a very level head just as when fighting and he's been doing pretty well so far and just earning him prizes and a little bit of experience now And that's when a Minotaur just appeared all of a sudden as she just Knowing that the Monster was way out of his league but right now he just did a the smart thing and started to run away But the Minotaurs pursued him endlessly and it was only through sheer dumb lucky that he was still alive right now But his as luck soon came to an end as he just much to his horror ran into a dead end but as He was still in the forest as he might find a way but he was just out of his luck as he was in taking a lot from his breath as his visions was getting blurry.
Panting with exhaustion and shaking with fear, he could only push his back against the stone wall and drop down to his butt as he stared up at the Monster in terror. This was it and He was going to die now couldn't just achieve his goals now his dreams die here.
In another time, someone would have come to his rescue. This Minotaur had fled from a party of high-ranking huntsman or huntress and just would be killed by some cool man or by a beautiful swords woman as in which results in feelings growing within the boy as to become a true huntsman as He just would then continue to grow stronger from there a then just achieving a very great many things alongside very friends on his way to his very glory and legacy of his own Unfortunately in this very time, his savior, his salvation was a would not be able to save him in time as just So the very blonde boy could only scream as the Grimm Minotaur just raised it very a fist and just brought it down as The last thing he heard was the crushing of his very skull has Now and everything just as cold afterwards

As For as long time in the very history of Humanity can just recall that walking the very surface of Remnant, so do they remember this wicked force that has been Looking around as since the beginning of time of there very people and their model enemies against them as they have fought and survived for generations but now the great fight comes to its greatest climax.

s a young hero, an exalted heiress, a troubled rogue, and a party girl- These are the four members of RWBY, a team brought together and trained for the sole purpose of combating the rampant evils that plague the fantastic world of Remnant. If these four girls want to graduate Beacon Academy they'll have to learn to work together both on the battlefield and in the classroom.
Team JNPR, pronounced "Juniper", also known as Team JNR (pronounced "Junior"), is a Huntsman team of former students from Beacon Academy The friends of team Rwby and the ones who stood with them in the end and my team, In "Players and Pieces", the game of called by ozpin the teams had its first fight as a team, together with Team RWBY, against a Death Stalker and Later in the same game, the team was officially formed as Team JNPR. During initiation, the team retrieved the White Rook pieces.
Jaune Arc was made the leader of team Jupiter.
After the death of their teammate, Pyrrha Nikos in "End of the Beginning", the three remaining members briefly formed Team RNJR with Ruby Rose after her own team was fractured. After Ruby's old team was reformed, Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, and Lie Ren collectively went as Team JNR.
In Atlas Jaune, Nora and Ren spent time training alongside Oscar Pine seemingly making him the fourth member of the team. This is even collaborated by merchandise that call them Team ORNJ (Orange).
The team is currently split after Cinder Fall's attack in the Evacuation Central Location; while Nora and Ren managed to escape to Vacuo to assist the Atlesian and Mantle refugees, Jaune fell into the void below alongside Team RWBY and Neopolitan.
That's how my story began That's how I fell let me tell you another What happened before that before I fell into the abyss itself
It started, as these things often did, with a mistake.
Jaune Arc was nervous. His heart was pounding from the adrenaline in his body. Jaune glided with his atlas-modified shield until landing on one of the platforms that were created by the relic of creation.
Jaune deactivated the light barrier on his shield and walked a few steps toward Nora who was waiting for him. "You bring May, Joanna...any hunter that comes through the gate" Jaune instructed Nora as he tried to watch the battle that was taking place in the dimension of creation. Jaune raised his hand so he could shake it with Nora.
Nora said nothing but nodded before she smiled and shook Jaune's hand. So that later they both went their separate ways. Nora goes through the portal and Jaune helps Team RWBY and Penny against Cinder and Neo.
Jaune began to run towards the sound of the battle, he had to take some turns to better observe the situation in which the girls were. Once he was close enough he could see him.
Weiss was on the platform floor probably injured and Penny was in front of her protecting her with her green sword projections from Cinder, who was floating above them about to shoot fire magic at them.
He didn't think twice before jumping off the platform, activating his shield's light barrier to glide in that bitch's direction. He then deactivates the light barrier and puts the shield in front of her before using all of his strength to punch Cinder square in the face, before he activates the gravity dust to send her flying.
Unfortunately for Jaune. Cinder regains her balance in the air, landing on all fours as she continues to slide down the platform, coming to a stop just at the edge. Jaune landed on the platform his friends were standing on and drew his sword as he got into a fighting stance. Weiss doing the same as him with her rapier. Penny activated maiden powers while holding her swords menacingly behind her.
Cinder narrowed her eyes at them. Then she suddenly began to scream in pain as her Grimm's hand began to convulse and move erratically.
Jaune, Penny, and Weiss tensed, looking at each other uncertainly.
Cinder's Grimm hand stopped. She squeezed Grimm's hand with her human hand checking it before she looked at the people in front of her.
Cinder smiled menacingly. "She's back," She said before she hit the ground and a burst of fire swirling around her hit them.
Jaune gritted his teeth as he slid down the platform, feeling his skin warm from the brief contact he had with Cinder's fiery attack. He felt a chill at the implications of her words. If she was telling the truth then they didn't have much time left before Salem destroyed them.
He had to end this, and it would have to be fast as Jaune lunged at Cinder with his aura pumping through his legs. The aura amplification on his body didn't take long to take effect. Making him much stronger.
Jaune launched a brutal upward attack aiming to split Cinder in half, but despite his speed, she easily stopped it by creating two swords of fire dust. He tried to strike with her shield, but she easily stepped out of the way and then she slashed at him with one of her swords, but Jaune blocked it with her shield by moving a few inches.
Attack, Block, Attack, Block, Kick, Attack. Jaune and Cinder tried to dominate each other each trying to kill the other. But as much as Jaune tried to hurt Cinder, she never gave in to his attacks.
Cinder fed up with the physical confrontation launches a powerful fireball, which Jaune had to block with his shield. Penny seeing Jaune being dragged into the fire begins to fly as her swords shoot toward Cinder.
Cinder stopped firing her fire magic and immediately began to maneuver through the air while dodging and smashing the swords thrown by Penny.
Jaune sighed in relief when the fire magic was no longer overwhelming him. He then looked at Weiss and raised a questioning eyebrow at her. "Not glyphs?"
Weiss had the decency to cringe. "I ran out of aura. I can't help too much, but if there's an opportunity to attack I'll use it" she said, but he could easily tell that she was scared.
Jaune could understand her. He was scared too, even if he wasn't going to admit it. Jaune even with his augmented aura with the amplification semblance of him couldn't close the gap in strength that Cinder has over him. About them.
Seeing Penny being overwhelmed by Cinder, Jaune ran to attack her, but as they were fighting in the air, he had to improvise and throw his shield onto the ground before he jumped on the shield and activated the gravity powder.
Jaune was propelled by the force of the shield and smashed his sword into Cinder's abdomen momentarily stunning her, once Jaune struck her, he activated the magnetism on his forearm causing his shield to immediately snap back at him. He then used his shield as a glider to land back on the platform.
"Weiss where are the other girls? We don't have much time" Jaune commented as he approached her hoping she understood the message he was trying to convey.
Weiss's eyes misted with tears before she gave him a shaky smile. "They fell"
Jaune felt the air escape his lungs at the revelation. But if the girls fell that meant they were...
No, no, no, no. No!
They couldn't have died.
First Pyrrha and now Yang, Blake, and... Ruby.
Fury and hate were upon him. The person causing the death of the girls was-
"Jaune!" Penny screamed in fear trying to warn him.
Any spiteful thoughts Jaune was having were interrupted as his hunter instincts kicked in. But it was too late for him. A ball of fire slammed into his abdomen, knocking out all the air and stunning him momentarily.
Jaune flipped so he could land on his feet, but when he tried to recover he was hit by an avalanche of blows that was fended off by his aura. When Jaune came to his senses he had to block another fireball with his shield causing it to slide onto the platform.
Jaune winced at the pain caused by Cinder. He looked over his head only to see a deep black abyss waiting for him. He was on the edge of the platform one more hit and he is sure he will fall off the platform.
Jaune was about to attack to close the gap with Cinder who was glaring at him, but he was interrupted.
"Leave my friend alone" Penny went to pounce on Cinder.
Jaune's keen senses activated, he looked at Cinder who gave him an evil smile. Jaune quickly understood what she intended.
"Wait! It's a..." Jaune tried to warn her, but it was too late.
Penny cried out in pain as the claws of Cinder's Grimm hand pierced her chest.
Jaune froze with the blood in his body freezing. Ironically, the first to react to defend Penny was Weiss who pounced on Cinder in a desperate attempt to cut off Grimm's arm.
Cinder saw the attack from a mile away and easily dodged it, before taunting the stupid girl who was trying to fight her without an aura.
Jaune looked at Weiss with doubt and concern before deciding to trust her and approach the injured girl to heal her.
Penny!" Jaune said with fear seeping through, kneeling over her and activating his aura amplification. "Hold on. My Semblance..." The white-gold glow began to come out of his arm to head toward Penny's body.
"No." Penny looked at Jaune and shook her head in resignation. "There's no time to heal me," she said as they both watched Cinder playing and teasing Weiss. "She can't get the staff and the power...," Penny placed a hand over Jaune's. "...but there is something you can do." Then she pointed at her sword and then at her heart.
"You are listening to yourself" Jaune exclaimed in disbelief, his eyes began to water. "There must be another way..." Jaune clenched his fist in an attempt to stop his fear and despair but to no avail. "...There must be."
Penny shook her head. "Please allow me to make at least this choice. Trust me my dear friend" She took the pommel of Jaune's sword, then gave him a reassuring smile.
As all going to lose this fight if this goes on as he started realize what Penny meant but it was too much for him to do and bear.
It was the kind of realization that sent chills down Jaune's spin; the kind of realization that had him staring down at Penny - sweet, innocent Penny - as her blood trickled out onto the golden bridge beneath them.
Jaune was numb, despite feeling more in that moment than he ever had in his life.
Cinder was upon him in the next.
Jaune didn't even really hear what she said. Something about him? That She was angry at him? That made sense, he supposed. He'd done as Penny had asked; kept the power from Cinder, and let her choose the one who'd gain it.
He'd killed her.
Her blood was on his hands.
He tried to fight back; honestly, he did. He raised Crocea Mors, and struck out at Cinder, but the blade snapped on their very first exchange. It felt oddly poignant. Like his blade knew that he had given up before even he had.
There was nothing left. His aura yet held, but he wondered how long that would last.
Everyone else had fallen into the abyss below. Yang first. Then Blake and Ruby. Then Weiss.
Now it was just him.
That seemed like it was going to be the case, at least, until a figure, with blue fire burning about her eyes, slammed into Cinder's side.
The Winter Maiden.

Jaune looked at Cinder and Weiss' "fight" before looking back at Penny. 'Oh, gods... He was going to do it, wasn't he? He was capable of doing what he was about to do.
He didn't want to do it, but there was no time left. Cinder was going to kill Weiss and then she was going to kill Penny, if he didn't do anything they were lost. Without even thinking about his actions. Jaune drew his sword before he looked at the gleam of his sword. He could see his blue eyes filled with fear and hesitation.
Jaune took a deep breath and didn't think twice before burying his sword in Penny's chest right where her heart was, killing her instantly. Jaune screamed in rage, pain, anguish, and despair as the implication of his actions hit him hard.
The urge to emotions hit Jaune hard as he looked at the corpse of his friend whom he had to be forced to kill. He shuddered as tears fell down his face.
Cinder's furious yell of rage brought him back to the present. Jaune instinctively activated shield light barrier and blocked the Cinder's attack. Cinder grabbed onto the shield as she glared at him with unbridled rage.
Jaune screamed in rage as he activated the gravity dust on his shield causing Cinder to be thrown into the air. Cinder put her hands on the platform before launching into a spin causing her to land on her feet, but she had to reach down and put her hands on the platform to stop her momentum.
Cinder created a sword of fire dust, she ran towards him and then launched herself into the air so she could pounce on Jaune with all her might. Jaune was not intimidated by the bitch. He infused his sword with an aura and amplified it with his Semblance.
Jaune swung his sword filled with his friend's blood with all hismight toward Cinder's sword. Both swords clashed forcefully.
Jaune's sword snapped in two.
Jaune looked on in shock as his weapon had broken. He was stupefied he had put all the strength in him and yet his weapon had broken.
Cinder did not miss the opportunity to kick him hard, causing Jaune to fall to the ground and drop his shield as he comes out of shock for the second time. Jaune looked up in fear as Cinder was about to kill him, but before she attacked him.
Then all of a sudden A bolt of ice hit Cinder's back as it sending her flying off the platform below her.
Winter Schnee his second partner and friend had obtained the power of the winter maiden, and now she was glaring at Cinder with murderous fury for attacking her family. Jaune watched in fascination at the great battle of two magical maidens. He can barely keep up the fight at this rate. They were a blur of lights in the air. As Jaune shook his head side to side but before looking at Weiss who was kneeling on the ground in shock from all of this.
He has No time to think about his actions at the moment. Jaune just picks up his shield and runs towards her, as he helps her to her feet and With his willpower alone Jaune begins to drag her toward the end portal. Jaune tries to go faster to the portal, but Weiss, in a daze, she was making things difficult for him.
As Jaune listens and saw behind him as the rush of flames heading their way. On a quick instinct and he thought, he turns around sudden and throws the dust shield he was carrying onto him. The impact knocked both of them down, but they remained upright until a hiss is heard from the superheated material below them. Jaune recognized the attack and from Weiss's face, he knew that she recognized it as well. It did little to prepare them both.
The ground explodes below him and Jaune is thrown to the side coming to a stop on the platform, his aura exploding and breaking into several whitish-gold shards. He has time to see Weiss fall into the void with a scream.Jaune, dazed by pain, does not notice what is happening around him for a few seconds. Until his senses come back with Winter reaches the platform, sobbing.
She was trying to kill Cinder.
Jaune didn't blame her that.
Their fight was the kind of thing that might be described in legends; like twin drakes, one of fire, one of ice, blasting their magics at one another. Winter was perhaps the more conditioned fighter, but Cinder was raw ferocity, and far more experienced with the Fall Maiden's flame.
In the end, however, Cinder fled, back through the portal to Atlas.
For a minute, Jaune just... sat there. Winter came over to him, asking where Weiss was, and Jaune couldn't do more than shake his head wearily.
A dazed Jaune realizes the implications and pain explodes in his chest with force. He blinks rapidly to wipe away all the tears. Weiss didn't make it. Winter didn't catch Weiss, and Weiss didn't get on the platform.
He realizes that another person had died because of him. If he hadn't been so careless. If only he had protected Weiss while she retreated. Then Weiss wouldn't be dead.
Jaune doesn't think he's hated anyone in his life as much as he hates Cinder Fall for taking everything way from him.
As Jaune was now standing, looks at Cinder at the same time as Winter. Both looked at her with a burning hatred as they both made a promise that they will end her And as Winter was about to lash out at Cinder for everything she as done.
Then all of a sudden A high pitch scream shakes the entire dimension in which they find themselves, a woman's voice howls with untold fury as portals flicker and their foundations shake. Jaune realized who was the person who was screaming and craving rampant blood.
He ignored the smug look that fire bitch was giving them at the moment.
A wide-eyed Jaune with pale skin looks directly at Winter and stand what is her wife going to do as stopped and convinced her to stop. "We need to go." He swallows nervously at the moment He knows that when is she mad she is not someone you should bother taking a step in do challenge or argue he learn that first hand "Now," He emphasized so there would be no arguing.
Winter is looking at Cinder with all the hate that is currently buried under her tears and heart, she wanted to kill Cinder more than anything in the world, but she knows that jaune is right At the moment as They can't be here when Salem gets here.

Winter flies off towards the end portal as Cinder smirks and retreats, and he runs after Winter, heading for the portal. Jaune tried to catch up with pissed off Winter, but with his broken aura and he is very tired using his semblance for a while he couldn't go at the speed of a huntsman, so he would have to run as fast as his legs would carry him at this moment.

And then something barreled into his chest.
Jaune had the wind knocked out of him as Winter hauled him up, pouring a blazing blue flame out of her legs, and left arm, to keep them afloat. She had her right arm around him, but was clearly struggling to hoist his weight with just that.
"If you could help here!?" She snarled.
"Right!"
He wrapped his arms around Winter's body, and even if at any other time he'd have been self-conscious about that... he just didn't have the energy to be in that moment.
Winter hesitated in the air for a moment, and Jaune wondered why.
"Weiss... how long ago did she..."

It hurt him to admit it. Honestly, it did. It was clear Winter didn't want to accept that. She hovered there, unable to move away, until Jaune's gaze flitted towards the gate that would take them to Vacuo, and...
"It's closing!" He pointed.
Winter turned, and then swore below her breath. She rocketed forward with the Maiden's power, but her control of it was not nearly as adept as Cinder's had been, which allowed the evil woman to cleanly fly through the air in whichever direction she wanted.

And at a glance, Jaune could tell it wouldn't be enough.
Winter must've been able to tell as well, because she pushed herself harder, utilizing the magic now flowing through her veins. The flames emerging from out of her limbs burned hotter, and spread farther.
Jaune winced as some of those flames crawled up Winter's legs, and licked at his own. Her fire couldn't burn her, but that was in no way true for Jaune.
Winter reached out towards the closing gate, trying, somehow, to reach it.
"Damnit!" She screamed.
She knew they couldn't, wouldn't, make it.
And then, as the gate collapsed, the entire realm around them did as well. The light dimmed; a dark void enclosed around them. The curse Jaune had been about to utter died in his throat as the darkness overwhelmed them entirely, and then, there was nothing at all.
And as the portal to Vacuo dissolves into golden sparks of light just before he touches it, making him scream as he fails and begins to plunge into the void.
Jaune doesn't know what to think about his last moments alive. Of all the things he could have thought. It wasn't about him but about his team he has with him. As Ren and Nora, two teammates who are now going to be alone forever, and he can only hope that Emerald will take care of his remaining teammates along with Oscar. Now that he thought about it, why didn't Nora come back through the portal with the other Hunters? Did something happen on the other side of the portal ? And Penny Gods... Penny, she has giving her life for all of this and what has he done by now ?
He will never be able to forget the feeling of Crocea Mors sliding into her chest, as the blood drained from her body and the life drained from her eyes. He will never be able to forget him. And now his sword is broken, in pieces, a part of him is glad because that means, that he at least will not be stained with Penny's blood, reminding him of the great sin that he had committed and With his ancestral sword broken, he could pretend that he had not sullied his family's honor, the remains of winter with it. He hadn't betrayed everything he loved like this, with the blood of his true friend.
Gods, why had he been so useless, if only he had done things differently, things would never have turned out so bad, if only he was stronger, Pyrrha, Ruby, Yang, Blake, and Weiss hadn't have been left him behind and now team Rwby is killed. If only he was stronger, he would never have been forced to kill Penny.
Despair, regret, and helplessness overwhelm him as he falls into the void.

It isn't long before the darkness overwhelms his entire view Jaune's sight returns as memories of recent events overwhelm him. He feels that he continues to fall, but the darkness that had consumed him was no longer in sight. He could see again, though all he saw was a strange black mist.
Jaune keeps falling for a while, and as unfortunate as it is, he is hopeful.
Hopes to survive, and hopes that the girls on the RWBY team are alive. Even with the deep disgust that weighed on his shoulder for having murdered Penny, he allowed himself to hope and not give in to despair.
As if by fate, he was able to dazzle his best friend Ruby's weapon, her prized scythe. He doesn't think twice before diving for his friend's gun.

But Wait, is that a tree with a clock for fruit?
Jaune doesn't know what the hell he is, but he hopes he can return to his world finish what he began, so he can stop Salem and her minions and All he has to do is wait for the RWBY team to arrive in the strange world or he thought at the moment but in reality whatever he is going he is going to be all alone and the adventures he's going to have going to be the key for his right back home and to save his new ones this is his
DESTINY.
