Chapter 64 - Baby Pajamas Plus

So Peter figured, why not give himself another disguise? He could pretend to be another Spider-Man who, just like the others, came from a different universe.

—Which, technically, was true. But since he was currently wearing Blond Spider-Man's body, others might not believe it!

The Spider-Men who'd appeared in this world all had distinct styles.

Noir Spider-Man wore a black-and-white suit modified from a World War I pilot's outfit, complete with a trench coat. Combined with his dark, shadowy vibe, it was obvious at a glance he wasn't the same as Blond Spider-Man.

As for Spider-Gwen, Peni, and Spider-Ham—there was no comparison.

One was clearly female, one piloted a mecha, and one was literally a talking pig. None of them resembled Blond Spider-Man in the slightest.

The only one who looked remotely similar was the Amazing Spider-Man B, but he had already shown himself to Doctor Octavia, who knew he came from another world.

That made Peter the only one who needed a disguise.

But… what should his suit look like?

Peter began sketching ideas in his head.

It had to be different from anything Blond Spider-Man had worn before—but still recognizably Spider-Man.

"Maybe the Amazing Spider-Man version?" he thought, but quickly shook his head.

Too similar. The others each had their own clear aesthetic.

Okay then… not a lot of options left.

Peter's mind soon settled on a design.

Yes—his old "baby-brand" suit. Cough, cough. The one from his performance costume days.

Even though Tony and the others had mocked it as a "baby pajama," it was once his everything.

Aside from the cheap fabric and ugly stitching, Peter still had deep feelings for it.

So why not recreate it—properly this time?

Now that he had access to Blond Spider-Man's advanced materials, there was no reason it had to look ugly again.

Peter opened the design panel on his Little Sewing Machine, drew up the blueprint, and selected the proper materials.

Once he confirmed everything, the little machine went to work.

Half an hour later, the finished suit appeared in the output compartment, undergoing its final argon-spray coating.

Argon gas is harmless at room temperature, but under special conditions, it's an excellent coupling agent—perfect for strengthening and corrosion-proofing the polymer suit fibers.

A while later, the finished product was finally complete.

Baby Pajamas PLUS!

If you looked closely, you could easily tell the differences from the old one.

It wasn't just the improved materials—its whole appearance had changed.

It now looked like a Spider-Man suit layered under a hoodie.

The inner suit was bright red; the outer hoodie was solid blue, perfectly preserving the classic red-and-blue color scheme.

Peter removed his current suit and slipped into the hoodie-style one, then adjusted the web-shooters.

As a seasoned Spider-Man—and one with extensive scientific knowledge—Blond Spider-Man's web-shooters were second to none.

They had large-capacity web-fluid cartridges, plus multiple web types and elemental firing modes, adaptable to nearly any combat environment.

They were the culmination of years of fighting supervillains.

No major modifications were needed; Peter only adjusted the shooting angle to fit the new hoodie suit better.

Two hours passed in no time.

It was already six in the morning.

Dawn light began spilling into the room.

Peter stood up, stretched, and wondered whether to go out for a stroll—or just lie back down and enjoy being a "quiet, handsome bug."

That's when his Spider-Sense suddenly flared.

Flashes of fragmented images appeared before his eyes.

He froze, frowned, and quickly headed for the elevator.

At that same moment—

Above his private base, near Aunt May's house—

Miles was running for his life, gasping for breath, as though something was chasing him.

——

Half a day earlier.

Around nine o'clock the previous night.

Miles had come to Aunt May's house with Amazing Spider-Man B and Spider-Gwen. After touring Blond Spider-Man's underground base, Peni and Amazing Spider-Man B were called over by Peter to work on the Heavy Key 2.0 project.

To avoid disturbing them, Miles, Gwen, Spider-Ham, and Noir Spider-Man left the lab on their own.

Watching these extraordinary Spider-People from different worlds, Miles hesitated for a moment before asking if they could teach him a few tricks.

They didn't refuse.

But before teaching him anything, they wanted to see what Miles could already do.

Unfortunately, his performance was a disaster.

Whether web-shooting or combat, he was a total rookie.

He couldn't even control his own powers properly.

The others told him to practice controlling his abilities first, then come back for real training.

But Miles took it the wrong way—he thought they were looking down on him.

Hurt and discouraged, he left Aunt May's house, took the subway back to Brooklyn, and decided to visit his uncle, Aaron Davis, for some comfort.

However, when he arrived at his uncle's apartment, Aaron wasn't there.

Miles was about to leave—when someone climbed in through the window.

He recognized the intruder instantly.

It was the Prowler, one of Kingpin's men.

And when the Prowler took off his mask, Miles was stunned—

The man beneath it was his own uncle, Aaron Davis!

His uncle… was a villain.

And worse—one of the people responsible for killing Blond Spider-Man!

Miles could barely process it.

Fear gripped him.

After all, the Prowler had tried to hunt him down before.

Relying on his camouflage ability, Miles tried to sneak out unnoticed.

But he brushed against a potted plant by the window—alerting the Prowler.

The chase was on.

They tore through the streets in a desperate pursuit.

Miles struggled hard to lose him, but finally managed to escape.

Terrified and breathless, he didn't dare stop or go home. He ran nonstop all the way here, determined to warn the others.

From the shadows, a web shot out, yanking Miles into the darkness.

Startled at first, he relaxed slightly when he saw the spider insignia on the suit—though this costume didn't match any Spider-Man he knew.

Before he could ask, Peter's voice came from behind the mask:

"You were being followed? You mean you brought them here?"
