Chapter 62 - Spider-Man's "Helpful" Advice

As mentioned before, to confine the high-energy particle beams within the Particle Accelerator's pipe and accelerate them to near light speed, not only is a massive amount of energy required, but also an incredibly strong magnetic field to provide the necessary confinement.

At the same time, the environment within the pipe must achieve an ultra-high vacuum state to reduce the unnecessary loss of protons in the particle beam.

And all of these operations require a huge cooling system.

These super-strong magnetic fields are made of special superconducting cables that need to operate at an ultra-low temperature of minus 271 degrees Celsius.

Furthermore, accelerating protons to near light speed isn't something that can be done instantly.

In fact, the entire Particle Accelerator must run continuously for at least 10 hours before the particle beam reaches a usable standard.

One can imagine the massive load generated during this process.

Therefore, the Particle Accelerator also has a huge cooling system, called the Liquid Helium Diversion System.

Blond Spider-Man had found the link program between the Liquid Helium Diversion System and the Particle Accelerator, and he created the Overload Key.

The Overload Key had a program that could disrupt the connection between the two systems.

When the Liquid Helium Diversion System stopped cooling the accelerator, the superconducting electromagnets would gradually lose their function as the temperature rose.

This would trigger the accelerator's safety system, causing it to shut down automatically.

However, that was the decision made before, to shut down the Particle Accelerator and crush Kingpin's crazy actions.

But the situation was different now.

Before shutting down the Particle Accelerator, he still had to figure out how to send Shadow Spider-Man and the others back to their respective worlds.

For this, he needed to make some modifications to the original Overload Key, creating the "Overload Key 2.0".

As for how to make the changes...

From the data, Peter and the others learned that Kingpin had spent a huge amount of resources to build this Particle Accelerator. His goal was to find his wife and son from parallel universes.

To pinpoint them accurately, the Particle Accelerator had a program that would search for high-matching existences based on the biological information input when the Singularity opened.

Previously, it was because Blond Spider-Man was shoved into the Particle Accelerator by Green Goblin. The program then read the "Spider-Man" information and brought over the five Spider-Men from the universes that had been connected.

Now, the task was to reverse this program, sending the five Spider-Men back through the routes they came from.

"Peni, Big Peter, I need your help," Peter said without turning around, looking at the data on the computer while continuously recording some key nodes.

"Big Peter? Me? Huh?" Amazing Spider-Man B pointed at himself, bewildered. "What a weird name."

Peter looked up and chuckled, "You're older than the rest of us Peters, so isn't Big Peter fitting?"

Amazing Spider-Man B subconsciously looked down at his stomach, which was so big he couldn't even see his toes.

"Alright, Big Peter it is, I guess it's better than Potbelly Peter."

Peni bounced over to Peter, asking, "Where do you need my help?"

Peter stepped aside slightly, pointing at the computer screen where he had pulled up modules related to the Liquid Helium Diversion System, the Quantum Information Reading System, and the Quantum Information Matching System. "We need to reverse engineer these two systems and add them to the Overload Key, but we have to be careful about the sequence. It can't conflict with the program that cuts off the Liquid Helium Diversion System."

Peter explained carefully.

Peni and Amazing Spider-Man B also became serious, standing beside him and listening attentively.

They were a veteran Spider-Man with over twenty years of experience, and a genius girl with high-tech bio-armor, respectively. It wasn't difficult for them to grasp these concepts quickly.

Especially with Peter's explanations.

Aunt May, not far away, watched Peter become so focused and a crystal tear rolled down her cheek.

Her Peter was back.

Time always flies when you're serious about something.

If you're invested enough, you might not even feel the passage of time.

When Peter and the others came to their senses, several hours had already passed.

Aunt May had brought dinner down for them. They quickly ate it downstairs and then got back to work.

Because according to their estimates, Kingpin's next time to open the Particle Accelerator would definitely be soon, maybe even tomorrow!

They had to work overtime to make this Overload Key 2.0!

And so, they worked until late at night.

Peter sent Peni to bed, saying she was too young to stay up late, and continued working with Amazing Spider-Man B.

In the middle, Peter "went offline" for a bit.

His body over there hadn't eaten anything all day; it was probably starving.

Peter returned to his own world and took a bunch of food out of the refrigerator. Aunt May had prepared everything for him in advance; all he had to do was heat it up.

After another hour, Peter finished eating and went back to bed, "going online" again.

As soon as he returned, Amazing Spider-Man B was right in front of him, looking him over curiously.

"Anything you found?"

Before Peter went offline, he had asked Amazing Spider-Man B to observe the state of his body after he logged out, so he could at least confirm one thing.

That was whether or not the body could be brought back to life.

Amazing Spider-Man B pondered, "After you left, the Spider-Sense weakened, and the life force also weakened. Unfortunately, he didn't come back to life; he only regained vitality by merging with your consciousness."

Peter was a little disappointed to hear this.

If he could, he still hoped Blond Spider-Man could be revived.

Because, according to past experiences, he would one day sever his connection with this world.

Would he then have Aunt May endure the pain of losing a nephew again?

For a moment, his mood was heavy.

Amazing Spider-Man B patted his shoulder, comforting him, "Not everything in this world goes as we wish."

Peter nodded slightly; of course, he knew this truth, but he still felt unwilling.

Seeing this, Amazing Spider-Man B patted the sofa behind him, signaling Peter to sit down.

After Peter sat down, he continued, "Didn't you want me to give you some advice on being Spider-Man? I can tell you now."

Peter looked up at him, eyes filled with anticipation. This guy had been Spider-Man for 22 years! His advice should be pretty helpful, right?

Amazing Spider-Man B spoke at length:

"First, don't let anyone clone you."

"Second, don't play the field."

"Third, don't let Doctor Octopus marry Aunt May."

"Fourth, don't lend money to Wolverine and Mockingbird."

"Fifth..."
