Chapter 54 - Memory Fragment

Ugh.

But it was no use blaming Miles now.

So, the three of them discussed their next steps.

Blond Spider-Man proposed a plan:

First, they needed to go to Oakmax Laboratory, where Kingpin was using the Particle Collider for research, and obtain information about the Particle Collider. With that, they could fix the Reboot Key.

The Reboot Key was like a Trojan horse virus. It would inject a program into the Particle Collider, affecting its system and ultimately destroying it.

Therefore, without information about the Particle Collider, they wouldn't even know where to begin the repair.

Next, they had to find a place to create the Reboot Key.

Finally, and most importantly, they had to insert the finished Reboot Key into the Particle Collider and then send Blond Spider-Man home.

As for Peter, he could go back anytime, so he wasn't worried.

However, Peter voiced an objection.

He thought they didn't need to go through so much trouble.

They could just find Blond Spider-Man's home and maybe directly find the relevant data from his computer. They might even find the data for making the Reboot Key and replicate it exactly. That would save him the trouble of redesigning and making one from scratch based on the data.

Furthermore, this way, Peter could also get Blond Spider-Man's Red and Blue Spider-Suit, which would be convenient for his subsequent actions.

—He wasn't worried about Web-Shooters.

In the coffin, perhaps as a way to mourn him, someone had put a pair of Web-Shooters inside at the time of the burial, though the Web Fluid was a little short.

There was a set for each hand, enough for a few hundred meters, he guessed.

However, there are two problems with Peter's suggestion.

Where would Blond Spider-Man's home be?

Based on information found online, Blond Spider-Man and Mary Jane are already married, so his base might be located near his and Mary Jane's home.

But before that, he lived with Aunt May, so it's also possible it's at Aunt May's house.

After careful discussion, the three decided to split up tomorrow.

One group, consisting of Amazing Spider-Man B and Miles, would go to Oakmax Laboratory in the Hudson Valley. Since this involved infiltration, two people were needed.

Actually, it would be better for Amazing Spider-Man B and Peter to handle this.

But considering Blond Spider-Man's private base might have some form of identity verification, Peter could only go the other route.

That is, they would go separately to Blond Spider-Man and Mary Jane's home, and Aunt May's house to search for Blond Spider-Man's private base.

Based on the distances of the three locations, they decided that they would meet at Aunt May's address in the evening, regardless of whether they succeeded.

After the plan was made.

Given that Peter's current body was too weak, they decided to rest well tonight and act tomorrow.

Peter wasn't worried about not returning.

Because his Spider-Sense told him that he already had some connection with this body; at least, he could return here at any time before completing this event.

As for afterward, he wasn't sure.

They'd deal with it later.

Afterward, Peter temporarily returned to his side.

After all the trouble in the Earth-1610B universe, it was almost dawn here.

That's also one of the reasons Peter wanted to come back first.

It would be awkward if Aunt May couldn't wake him up when it got light.

But, as long as he got past the morning, from noon on, he would have a period of time completely under his own control!

Because Aunt May was going to a place far away in New York from the afternoon onwards to be in charge of an aid activity and wouldn't be back until Monday night.

During this time, Peter could do whatever he wanted!

After finally getting to the afternoon and seeing Aunt May off, Peter quickly returned home and lay down on the bed.

He quickly woke up again in the Earth-1610B universe.

Then he saw the Blond Spider-Man sleeping soundly in the web hammock beside him, his big belly couldn't be hidden by the Spider-Suit.

Below, Miles lay in bed, the blanket kicked to the floor, and he didn't look like he could stay still at all.

Peter smiled knowingly.

He reached out and clenched his fist, then moved his arms and legs. After a night's recovery, the functions of this body had recovered at least seventy percent.

Spider-Man's strength, even at seventy percent, was still far, far superior to that of an ordinary person.

After waking up both the Amazing Spider-Man B and Miles, the three of them finalized their plan and went their separate ways.

Peter put on a hat and a mask, then boarded a bus.

The Blond Spider-Man and Mary Jane's home was located in a high-end apartment in Queens Hill, about a two-hour bus ride from Brooklyn.

Peter closed his eyes, feeling a bit bored, and began to meditate.

After transferring buses a few times, he finally arrived at the Blond Spider-Man's home.

Mary Jane wasn't there.

Evidently, the Blond Spider-Man's death had exposed his true identity, causing Mary Jane great distress.

She had to leave this place temporarily to avoid harassment from certain individuals.

Just as he was about to go inside, he felt a strange sensation.

In his mind, some memory fragments began to slowly surface.

The warmth of building a love nest with Mary Jane here after buying the place; the arguments over trivial matters during their life together; the two of them snuggling together, making plans for the future.

Peter froze in place, and after a long while, his furrowed brows finally relaxed a bit.

Then, he turned and left.

The memory fragments of the Blond Spider-Man that had inexplicably appeared told him that this wasn't his private base.

It wasn't that he was afraid of Mary Jane finding out, he had already told her he was Spider-Man before they got married.

It was just that the area was too public, not suitable for major construction.

So, he only set up a small workshop at home, where he kept some things.

But those things didn't include the Reboot Key's information.

Peter's footsteps suddenly stopped.

He turned around again, observed his surroundings, and then climbed along the wall.

He found a change of the Red and Blue Spider-Suit in the workshop, along with a few refills of Web Fluid.

After putting on the Red and Blue Spider-Suit, Peter put his clothes back on.

Blond Spider-Man was killed by Kingpin, and their ultimate goal was also Kingpin's Particle Collider.

Therefore, before the final action, he shouldn't reveal that Spider-Man had been revived, so as not to alert Kingpin.

Afterward, Peter retraced his steps and left the house. He found another bus and headed to Aunt May's house, which was also in Queens, but in a different location.

Not long after he left, Mary Jane returned home. She went into her husband's workshop, hoping to find some comfort there, only to discover... that the Spider-Suit was gone!
