Here's how it went down.
In that era of economic depression, mergers were all the rage, and wealth became increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few.
Consequently, purchasing power in society declined, leading to an increase in goods and difficulties in capital outflow during the operation of the economy. This further triggered problems like overproduction and capital surplus.
Overproduction, among other issues, resulted in mass unemployment and layoffs.
When people lost their jobs, they couldn't afford rent, forcing rents to drop.
To maintain their income, the landlords of these dilapidated houses would pack in more tenants.
And so, the situation progressively worsened.
Because more people were falling behind on rent every month, the landlord's business was becoming increasingly unsustainable.
But they couldn't sell the building either, because no one wanted a dilapidated apartment building packed with people even in the hallways.
Then, a fire broke out, engulfing the run-down apartments.
The result of the fire was this: the landlord left safely with a large compensation from the insurance company, and those residents were homeless again, and, in addition, a little girl died in it. —In this dark time, it was unclear whether this was fortunate or unfortunate.
When Shadow Spider-Man wanted to tell the police about the whole story, Urich told him that it was pointless.
Because many people were involved in this: police officers, insurance companies, investigators, gangs, landlords. It was a huge chain of interests.
In Peter's eyes, Toomes was also one of these people.
Although he spoke righteously, saying things like fighting against oppression, seeking a way out.
But in reality, he was just building his own suffering on the backs of others.
And the worst part was, the people he inflicted suffering on weren't the "enemies" he thought they were, but those who were suffering just like he had.
Damage Control and Stark Industries were the ones who had put him through hardship.
If he'd actually dared to stand up to them, Peter would have given him some credit.
But in reality, all this guy did was steal some scraps from Damage Control, stuff that nobody even cared about, a few inconsequential acts of "revenge."
Then, he sold these dangerous weapons to the gangs operating in the city. These gangs, in turn, engaged in wanton shootouts, causing both psychological and physical trauma to ordinary citizens.
This was a load of crap!
"Shut up!"
As if Peter had ripped away the mask he'd been hiding behind, Toomes was stunned for a moment, then flew into a rage and charged at Peter.
Huge wings, accompanied by a sharp whistling sound, were coming at him ferociously.
On the other side, Peter wasn't planning on dragging this out any longer.
The time he'd been out today had already gone on too long.
He'd left in the afternoon, and between traveling and investigating, he'd encountered the Punisher and Shocker in Hell's Kitchen around six or seven in the evening.
Then, after waiting for two hours, the time of the deal between the Dogs of Hell members and Shocker was almost nine o'clock.
As for arriving at this processing plant in Brooklyn, it was already around ten in the evening.
It would still take time to get back to his home in Queens from Brooklyn!
Fortunately, Aunt May was out today and wouldn't be back.
Otherwise, he wouldn't know how to explain it.
But even so, he didn't plan on staying out all night.
"Get it done quickly, and go home!"
Peter emerged from behind the pillar, firing a series of Web-Fluid Pellets from his hands, hitting several propellers on Toomes's metal wings.
These were Web-Fluid Pellets with increased toughness. The moment they burst, they stuck all the propellers together, rendering them immobile.
The metal wings instantly lost over 80% of their power, leaving only a few small jet nozzles.
But these jet nozzles mainly served for steering and provided very little power.
In his panic, Toomes barely managed to open the jet nozzles and adjust his direction, preventing himself from crashing headfirst into the wall.
At this moment, Peter attacked again.
He used his web-fluid to stick to Toomes from behind and yanked!
Toomes, who had been flying sideways, was immediately pulled back.
"Ready to receive a friendly greeting from Spider-Man, Mr. Toomes!"
Peter shouted and jumped high.
He kicked Toomes in the abdomen.
Ugh!
Even with the protection of the flight suit, Toomes was still punched so hard that he gagged, almost losing his breath.
Peter flipped over to his back, one hand holding the middle of the metal wings, the other hand on the wings, and pulled with force.
Creak, creak, creak—
A screeching sound, accompanied by sparks and lightning, filled the air. Peter had actually ripped off one of Toomes' metal wings with his bare hands!
Peter repeated the process, tearing off the other metal wing.
Now, Toomes had no way to escape!
Afterward, Peter tied up Toomes, Mason, Bryce, and Schultz, and helpfully called the police again for them.
The response time this time was much faster than before.
That was because not long ago, Toomes had attacked the police car transporting Bryce and Schultz, and now they were searching the streets for any trace of him.
Upon hearing the report, they immediately turned their vehicles in this direction.
As for Peter, he turned on the recording device on his suit, filming everything in Toomes' weapon factory. Then he had Karen send the footage of his actions to Tony Stark.
With this, he'd become a real Avenger, right?
A steady salary!
Benefits!
Technical support!
Peter couldn't help but daydream about his wonderful future.
At this moment, he was already on his way home.
Because he was distracted, he almost crashed into cars or walls several times.
Fortunately, he had his Spider-Sense, so each time was a close call.
But was everything really a close call?
As everyone knows, Peter Parker seemed to have a knack for bad luck, with many unfortunate things inexplicably befalling him.
For instance, the 94's Spider-Man, who didn't want to reveal his world number, was either getting blamed or on his way to being blamed.
For instance, there's the animated Ultimate Spider-Man who inexplicably swapped bodies with Wolverine.
And now, Peter is the unlucky one.
When Peter got out of a ride-sharing car near his home, he discovered something terrifying.
The lights in his house were on!
\n\n
Peter pushed open the door and saw Aunt May sitting on the sofa with a commanding presence.
She had a pair of devil horns on her head and was holding a fruit knife.
"Peter, can you tell me what you were doing out so late? If your answer isn't satisfactory, heh heh heh~"
Aunt May licked the fruit knife, revealing a friendly smile—
"Aaaah!" (Please imagine Ultimate Spider-Man's girly scream)
Peter stared at the opposite room in terror, his face ashen.
