AN: So sorry for the late upload. Happy reading.

After washing up, I walk down for breakfast. When I come downstairs, I find that Amelia is already sitting at the table with a tablet in her hands and a steaming cup in front of her.
"Good morning," I say, trying to sound chipper.
Amelia smiles. "Good morning. Did you sleep well?"
"I am so sorry I overslept," I apologize immediately as I sit down opposite her.
Amelia puts away her tablet. "It's okay. It's the first night you have spent away from your husband, so it's only natural that you didn't sleep well."
I feel a flush of heat rise in my cheeks at the implication, even though it's technically a lie. "Let's eat," Amelia says, saving me from having to reply. "We have a long day ahead of us."
I have no idea what we are going to do today, but I don't ask. It's better not to ask; otherwise, I might back out.
