"You…" Serena started, but was unable to finish.
Liz would cease to exist?! And to say it so casually too?! Was Liz not scared? Did it not fear becoming nothingness? Did it know the cost of making this deal?
"Don't act so shocked." Liz added. "I knew the price. The Beast God made that clear to me."
"And you still…" Serena gaped at the system.
Liz nodded its head. "Yes. I don't fear death… What I fear is dying with regrets. This gives me a chance to correct my regrets before I become nothingness."
Serena couldn't imagine just accepting such a fate. But then again, if she became nothing, she wouldn't have to worry about suffering ever again. And death wouldn't seem so scary.
"Of course being erased from existence isn't so bad." Liz mused. "At least then those that knew me would forget I existed. It's sad… but as long as they don't suffer I suppose I'm fine with it."
