Just after this prompt from the system appeared, Michael suddenly felt an overwhelming amount of information appearing in his mind.
This amount of information was just too much for him to handle, that for a moment, he felt as splitting headache hitting him.
Still, he did not scream, but in the end, he could not avoid grunting. It was quite a painful experience, considering that a huge amount of information had appeared in his mind at the same time.
Still, this experience did not last long, as just a few seconds later, the pain began dissipating, before it completely disappeared.
All the information that had appeared in his mind was related to combat. Unarmed skills at the intermediate level could allow Michael to be able to read the movements of his opponents.
Apart from that, while fighting, he could use the methods that would minimize energy consumption. At this point, it was as if Michael had trained for about 5 years.
This was the amazing part about the system. He had only read for less than a week, but he had gained proficiency in a skill that required 5 years of continuous training.
If someone else, who had been training so hard, balancing training, diet and so on, heard about this, they would definitely feel like the world was unfair.
After all, for them, they had to put in a lot of effort, spend a lot of money hiring coaches or attending schools, just for them to be able to get to that level.
But what did Michael need to do? All that he had to do was to read the information on the combat skills. He did not even have to understand them, just reading was enough.
Who would not be envious of such a chance? If they knew about it, they would not hesitate to kill if there was a need.
It was for this reason that as he went through the information that he had received on the intermediate level unarmed combat skill, Michael made a decision.

For a moment, his entire body almost felt like it was about to burst from the inside. The energy that had suddenly appeared in his body was quite overwhelming.
Still, the energy was contained, despite the discomfort that he experienced, which lasted for a little while.
As the energy was contained, slowly, it began fusing with his body. And at the same time, Michael began feeling that he was getting stronger.
Initially, the energy had just been introduced into his body. But now, the energy was actively becoming part of him, strengthening him in return.
This was quite an amazing experience, and the feeling of getting stronger was quite addictive. Michael really hoped that this sensation would go on for a long duration, making him invincible.
But in the end, the sensation disappeared together with the feeling of being stuffed within just about 30 seconds.
Despite the sensation disappearing, as he flexed his muscles, Michael could feel that his entire body had been strengthened further.
Previously, unarmed combat skill at the beginner level had managed to make his body reach its peak state.
The peak state here was where, his body was strong as it could be, brought about by removing all the side effects of sitting down for a long duration, and not exercising much.
Simply put, it was as if his body had exercised, but not working out to improve his own body, but instead, to keep fit.
But now, it was completely different. Right now, there was an improvement. And as he was flexing his arms, he could clearly see that his muscles had obviously grown in size.
While the increase in size was not that obvious, the muscle outlines had become more visible than before.
Curiously, Michael lifted his T-shirt, observing the abs that had formed. By now, they were quite clear. He really looked no different from a person who had been working out for several years.
After taking a deep breath, Michael finally calmed down from the excitement that came with the advancement of the skill to the intermediate level.
Still, he had a question. He thought to himself, was it possible that just by depending on the skills, he could improve his body to exceed the human limits?
Just as he thought about that, he received prompts from the system.
[While the skills can improve the body, it cannot break the human limits. That is something that is related to not only human genetics, but the racial potential as well.]
[In order to break the limitations, the host will need assistance from something else, in order to be able to break through and reach higher levels.]
This immediately confirmed to Michael, it seemed that there were actually items that could be used in order to be able to break the limit of a human being.
While it was true that he was slightly disappointed that he could not continuously enhance his body to exceed human limitations, still, there was hope.
While he was still contemplating about this, he received yet another set of prompts from the system.
[After the intermediate level, there is the advanced level.]
[At the advanced level, the number of SP gained is 1000.]
Upon going through the two prompts from the system, Michael was left dumbfounded.
1,000 points! A whole 1,000 points just by reaching the advanced level? That was insane!
Initially, he had thought, the advanced level would grant him 50 points, or 100 points at most. But now, he would gain 1000 points, which was quite insane.
Converting 1,000 points into cash, that was a whole $100 million!
It could be said, the benefits of advancing to the advanced level in a particular skill was at least 100 times better than in the intermediate level.
The amazing part of the system was that, his effort would be rewarded by him receiving the particular skills. But at the same time, there was an additional benefit, which was the SP.
Literally, it was as if the system was paying him to gain skills. Or to say it in another way, it was as if the system was paying him to acquire information using the skill itself, and the extra SP.
If put that way, it was as if Michael was laboring for the system. Though, Michael was not sure if that really was the case.
Regardless, even if it was true, so what? In any case, without the system, he would not have the ability of gaining those skills anyway.
Even the accounting skills that he had obtained, he was basically gambling. After all, not many people would hire someone who had skills, but their academic qualifications was only at middle school level.
Additionally, considering the capabilities of the system, was there even a need for him to worry about it anyway? After all, if the system wanted to deal with him, it was quite simple.
Forgetting about all that, Michael decided to think about something else. Should he try pushing to advance his intermediate level combat skills to advanced level?
After all, currently, he had 14 SP. That was $1.4 million if converted into cash. Simply put, currently, he could be considered as a millionaire.
But even then, a million was not enough. In this city, this million would put him in quite a high position in terms of those with some influence.
He could be considered to be in the upper middle class level within this city. But obviously, that was not enough for him.

In his mind, he was planning, he would head to the biggest city that could be found within the eastern province. Right now, he was only bidding his time, in order to gain more SP.
If he had any other options, he would have opted to leave the city. But from the words of the traitor, Michael understood that it was quite difficult for him to be able to leave the city at this point.
He was not sure if Dante was actively looking for him, but if he tried to leave, and they were looking for him, things would get messy.
When he was lost in thought, suddenly, the guy that he had knocked out began shifting on the chair. It seemed, Michael had been thinking for quite a while now.
