The rain had started again, a relentless, miserable drizzle that slicked the asphalt of the Mo Manor's driveway.
Parked in the shadows of a large oak tree just down the street, indistinguishable from the night, sat a black sedan. Inside, Mo Yichen gripped the steering wheel until the leather groaned under the pressure of his hands.
He felt pathetic.
He was the CEO of Mo Holdings. He was the man who moved markets with a tap of his hands. He was the Tyrant who had just mobilized an army to crush his own brother. And yet, here he was, sitting outside his own home like a stalker, watching the windows for a silhouette he wasn't allowed to touch.
He had driven halfway to the city center before he had turned around. He couldn't go. The thought of her alone in that massive, empty house, terrified and angry, tore at his insides.
