Chapter 36 - Chapter 36:Princess Duskwild

Chapter 36:Princess Duskwild

After Arthur gave advice to Maya ,he went to meet Ank and now they were in Arthur's room.

Arthur's room was similar to Ank but the only difference was that his room was completely empty with only one bed and chair in the corner of the room.

The air inside the room was quiet ,Maya was now in the training ground improving his sword skill.

Ank and arthur were only present inside the room, arthur intentionally sent maya so she cannot hear what he was about to talk to Ank.

Arthur sat on a wooden chair, his eyes staring at the flames of candle .Across from him sat Ank on bed silently waiting for Arthur to start conversations.

The moments had arrived and from here Ank will now prepare what he will face in future and one step closer on completing quests.

"Ank," Arthur finally said, his voice deep and rough, "I will tell you about this world. The planet's name is already known."

Ank leaned forward. "Yes."

"And that is what the old man asked."

Ank nodded. "Yes. Duskwild."

A small smile tugged at the corners of the old man's lips. "Correct. This planet is called Duskwild."

"But… why?" Ank asked. "Why are you telling me the planet's name? I did not need to know about these .i

Ank was impatient ,he already wasted so much time and he knew something big was going to happen and he needed power to stop .

He already received quests like protecting maya ,so he wants to prepare as spoon as possible.

In Ank view ,planet name was not important ,in the Universe there were countless planets and knowing every name will only waste time.

The old man's smile faded. His expression hardened into something grim, his voice lowering into a tone that carried the echo of history.I knew Ank that you were impatient but this was important "The planet was given this name because of betrayal. Long ago, this world was conquered by an Empress. She was strong, proud, and undefeated. Under her rule, Duskwild flourished… until one day, she was betrayed by her own subordinate."

Ank's eyes narrowed. "Betrayed?"

He knew what the feeling of betrayal was ,he was also betrayed by someone that he cherished from the bottom of heart .

And in result he also betrayed his friends ,stealing their freedom ,and trapped them for eternity.Waiting for someone that will free him and then they will take revenge on Ank.

And now his total focus on Arthur word.

"Yes." The old man's gaze darkened. "She was captured, trapped somewhere on this very planet. To this day, no one knows where she lies. And as if that betrayal was not enough, the traitor murdered her sister. A tragedy that scarred not just the royal line, but the very soul of this planet."

Ank's mind stirred. His heart tightened as fragments of memory and system messages flashed before his eyes. That's right. I had a quest… something about avenging a princess from Duskwild…

And I am sure ,she was the same princess.

And Ank asked, "What was her name? The Empress? And her sister?"

The old man shook his head. "I don't know. Their names were erased from history. Wiped away, as though they had never existed. Only a handful of people in this planet and universe might still remember their names."

The room fell silent ,Arthur was observing Ank and waiting for Ank to ask questions ,he watched that Ank was interested in the Empress.

While Ank was thinking , So that's the quest? A princess, erased from history, betrayed, her bloodline shattered… and I'm supposed to avenge her?

After waiting for some time, Ank did not ask questions then The old man's voice cut through his thoughts. "After their fall, the Dark Age began. It swallowed this planet whole."

He stood slowly, and walked to the window. Pulling the curtain aside, he looked out at the sky.

"Duskwild was once a world of five proud continents," he began. "Each was unique, each alive with people, power, and purpose. But today… only two remain as safe for humans."

Ank stopped his ongoing thoughts and once again his total focus on Ank word.

This was the information that Ank wanted to complete his quests.

"The first continent was called the Eternal Graveyard," the old man said. "Once, it was a place of great cities and ancient temples. But now, it is nothing but ruins. The land itself is dead. Blackened stone, scorched soil, and whispers of the dead. Even the gods do not set foot there anymore. That is why it is called a graveyard—not just of people, but of hope."

"The second continent is the Beastlands," he continued. "A savage, untamed wilderness. It is home to monsters of unimaginable power. Beasts that walk like mountains, creatures that breathe storms. Few humans dare to tread there, and those who do rarely return. It is said that the strongest warriors once challenged the Beastlands to prove themselves… and were devoured, their bones left behind as warnings."

"The third continent is the Central Continent, home to humanity. There, countless kingdoms rise and fall, clawing at each other for land, wealth, and pride. It is a place of endless struggle—wars waged not just with swords, but with greed and ambition. No ruler is satisfied, no border is permanent. The Central Continent bleeds without pause."

Ank clenched his fists. He saw countless planets like these , the ambition that turned brother against brother, domination for power .He once the same like them.

"The fourth continent," the old man's tone grew heavy, "was once the most fertile. A jewel of life and harvest, rich with rivers, mountains, and endless fields of grain. But two thousand years ago… it was lost. A zombie outbreak consumed it. No one knows how it began—whether it was a curse, a punishment, or an experiment gone wrong. The dead rose and devoured the living, until the entire land was drowned in decay. To this day, the continent is ruled by the endless swarm of the undead. They do not sleep, they do not rest. That land is hell made real."

When Ank heard this, he had received a completion on his quest that was related to killing zombies. Now he had to unlock his 0.5 power seal and go to the zombie continent to begin the extermination.

"And the fifth continent," the old man said, straightening his back with pride, "is the Diamond Heart Continent. Unlike the others, this land did not crumble into chaos. Here, unity was forged under a single emperor. His rule brought stability, prosperity, and strength where all else fell apart. It is continent there people can live without any tension"

He turned back to Ank and placed a hand on his shoulder. "This is where we live. On the Diamond Heart Continent."

Ank swallowed hard . A strange mix of relief and pressure washed over him.now he understood by the quests was difficult .the planet was far more dangerous that Ank thought .

He had only completed a few quests and the path forward for completing quests was more dangerous—than ever.

The old man's words lingered in his mind: the war of the Central Continent, the zombie-infested wasteland, the lost princess erased from history.

The future is going to be blood-soaked. But… it's the only way forward.
