Chapter 35:Ank Decision
Wait… I really completed my quest of finding a fiancée?
The first thought echoed in Ank's mind , but the only thing he truly wanted was to collapse on his bed and fall asleep but first he had to go to the bathroom for a bath ,he now noticed his condition that he was covered in blood . His body was exhausted, he wanted to collapse in bed and fall asleep but he cannot sleep like this.
After returning from the bath ,he skipped dinner and directly went to bed to sleep .
He didn't know what he had to do about maya confession and his mind was also exhausted like his body .
When morning came and he finally opened his eyes again, a familiar voice reached his ears. Startled, Ank rushed out, and there he saw him Arthur had returned.
Arthur noticed Ank presence and gave him a warm greeting and said,
"I have something important to tell you. When you finish your training and eat your breakfast, come speak to me."
Ank simply nodded and wanted to speak but he knew Arthur was stubborn about training and Arthur would not compromise about training , so instead of speaking further, he moved towards the training ground.
Training always helped him think more clearly and he also had to think about what he had to reply to maya .
After training he went to eat lunch.
After lunch, once again he went back for training but he found himself standing in front of Maya.His foot automatically led his way towards maya.
He was confused, but as hours of training passed, the answer slowly formed in his heart.
Is marrying someone just for the sake of a quest really the right thing?
At first, he didn't know. But now… now he did.
He now understands how to reply Maya
When he approached Maya again, she looked nervous, her hands trembling slightly. Fear shone in her eyes—fear of rejection.
But before her thoughts could spiral any further, Ank spoke firmly, though his voice carried warmth.
"Maya… I have a favor to ask. I need time before giving you my answer. Can you wait? It won't be long, just two to three weeks. First, I need to learn about this world, plan my path forward, and understand the dangers that hide in the shadows. Only then will I be able to give you a true answer."
Maya's lips parted in surprise,
she wanted to tell him something, but the words tangled in his throat and slowly by gathering courage she said
"Yes, take your time," she said softly, before rushing back to her room with flushed cheeks.
She was very happy that Ank didn't reject him.
Maya's POV
Did I really say that…? Did I really confess to him?
My heart wouldn't stop racing. I just hoped he wouldn't reject me.
And I forgot to ask why he was covered in blood. From my spell I knew there was no any injury to his body .
Can i went outside and ask him
No ,how will i face him
But if something happens to him.
No ,I knew Ank and his healing and his healing had already healed him ,so there was no point in meeting him after this.
When Maya remembered how she told him his feelings ,both his cheeks became red and he was totally embarrassed .
Tomorrow Grandpa will return and I knew my time with Ank was now going to end.
Now the biggest question is how will Ank react tomorrow.
Tomorrow he will talk to me and accept it or reject it.
At some point, exhaustion dragged me into sleep.
The next morning, I woke to the sound of the door opening. Grandpa Arthur had returned. My heart swelled with relief, and I hurried to greet him before quietly starting the house chores.
I was shocked that grandpa knew about my confession and teased me .
I want to stop grandpa but he said that I will not stop you maya .
But remember Ank was not someone that life will move in a straight line,from my experience i knew Ank life will be full of troubles ,i watched Ank eye and in his eyes he was afraid of something.
And how Ank reacted first when he woke up from his unconscious ,I can tell he was hiding something that will change your opinion about him and dont want maya ,you to blame yourself in future for choosing Ank.
You also knew how Ank was and you tell that Ank was desperate for something.
In the end I will only say one thing that I will not stop you ,it is your life, it's your decision and I will support you.
I am your grandpa and I only hope that in future you will live happily and by saying he left the room and went to meet Ank.
I was stunned by grandpa's words and in my heart I knew grandpa was telling the truth but I had already made up my mind and I will not change at any cost.
I will face everything and no one can separate me from Ank, even the gods.
But then… Ank came to me. His words stunned me.
He didn't reject me. Instead, he asked for time.
Inside, I was so happy I wanted to shout, but I couldn't let him see my emotions. So I smiled faintly, nodded, and ran back into my room.
He didn't reject me…
That means… I still have a chance.
And I will not let this chance waste.
Finally Ank saw me .
I had to wait for an answer and even though he asked me to wait for eternity ,I will wait for him.
My love for him to the point that even if Ank rejects me I will always chase him.
After finishing his training, Ank sought out Arthur. His determination was stronger now and few moments after his real challenge will begin.
"old man," he said, his eyes sharp with resolve,
"I want to know about this planet."
