Chapter 28: The Excited Terumi Mei
Upon hearing Kinoshita Yoshiro's words, the face of the Hozuki Clan's leader darkened instantly.
This matter was already a scandal for the Hozuki Clan, and now, being brought up directly by Kinoshita Yoshiro, it was like a slap in the face for their clan.
If the setting weren't inappropriate, the two clan leaders would likely have started fighting on the spot!
The already oppressive atmosphere grew subtly tense with their exchange.
Tap—
Tap—
At that moment, a calm, unhurried sound of footsteps came from outside the door.
Though the footsteps were soft, everyone present could hear them clearly with their keen senses. Some sensory ninjas in the room even showed shocked expressions.
There were two powerful chakra signatures—one slightly subdued, as if heavily injured.
The other, however, gave off an overwhelmingly terrifying aura, as if it could erupt from the person's body at any moment, destroying everything in its path!

With the soft sound of the door, Yuto walked in boldly, holding a large bag of fish balls in one hand and carrying the unconscious Utakata over his shoulder.
"Hey, good morning, everyone. Want some fish balls? I bought plenty."
Yuto chuckled lightly as he looked at the tense crowd before him.
Bang!
"Lord Yuto!!"
Everyone stood up instantly, their faces filled with respectful and nervous expressions as they spoke.
Even Elder Genji, who had seemed to be dozing off moments ago, moved with no less speed, the excitement on his face unmistakable.
Seeing everyone's reaction, Yuto scratched his head and said helplessly:
"No need to be so tense, everyone. Just sit down and treat me like an ordinary ninja."
Hearing Lord Yuto's words, a trace of amusement flashed in Terumi Mei's eyes. If anyone actually dared to do so, they'd likely be roasted alive by the ninjas present!
Whether they liked it or not, nearly every ninja in the Mist Ninja Village had grown up hearing legends of Lord Yuto. His status in the hearts of all the village's ninjas was unparalleled.
At Lord Yuto's words, everyone sat back down, though each person sat upright with a serious expression.
Yuto gave a wry smile, casually tossing Utakata from his shoulder onto the floor. He then walked to the head of the table and sat down.
Seeing this, the pupils of those present constricted slightly. It was within everyone's expectations that Lord Yuto could defeat the Six-Tails jinchuriki.
However, when they noticed that Yuto's clothes didn't even have a single wrinkle, they realized that even though they had already held Lord Yuto's strength in high regard, they had still underestimated him.
As for whether the Six-Tails jinchuriki, casually tossed onto the floor by Lord Yuto, might suddenly wake up and escape, a trace of disdain flashed in everyone's eyes.
With Lord Yuto present, not to mention that those in the room represented the highest combat strength of the Mist Ninja Village, if the Six-Tails jinchuriki could escape under these circumstances, they might as well quit and go home to farm.
As soon as Yuto sat down, Terumi Mei hurriedly took out a scroll and a booklet, carefully placing them on the table in front of him.
Yuto gave Terumi Mei a slight smile, and she quickly lowered her head. Yuto was somewhat exasperated—was he really that terrifying?
He casually flipped through the booklet in front of him, and upon seeing its contents, his eyes lit up.
The names and detailed information of everyone present were listed in the booklet, along with analyses of their personality traits. Clearly, Terumi Mei had prepared this to prevent any awkwardness in case Yuto didn't recognize those in attendance.
Yuto gave Terumi Mei an approving glance. This young lady wasn't bad at all.
Regarding the scroll placed under the booklet, Yuto didn't look at it for the time being. He raised his head, glanced at everyone present, and held up the fish balls in his hand:
"Really, no one wants to eat?"
Hearing Yuto's words, everyone glanced at the fish balls in his hand, their eyes twitching involuntarily.
After a long pause with no response, Yuto wore a regretful expression and reluctantly put the fish balls down.
Since no one was eating, Yuto didn't feel comfortable eating in front of everyone.
Elder Genji, sitting nearby, showed a trace of surprise in his eyes. He clearly felt that with Lord Yuto's words, the previously serious and tense atmosphere had noticeably lightened.
"Speaking of which, though I haven't been resurrected for long, I've gained some understanding of the Mist Ninja Village's general situation," Yuto said with a smile, chuckling lightly.
"To be honest, the current state of the Mist Ninja Village is not particularly good—worse than I had imagined."
"Among the five great ninja villages, in terms of geographical location, aside from the Leaf Village, the Mist Ninja Village should have the best. The other three ninja villages can't compare to the Mist Ninja Village in this regard."
"When it comes to Bloodline Limits, the Mist Ninja Village, aside from the Leaf Village, has the most. Bone Pulse, Ice Release, Lava Release, Boil Release—I also recall a small clan with a Bloodline Limit similar to mine, called Nether Release. Though it has some flaws, it was of great help to me."
At this point, Yuto chuckled softly, but everyone present lowered their heads as far as they could.
"The Mist Ninja Village's three great noble clans—the Mizunotsume Clan and the Taketori Clan—have already been wiped out. As for the last one, the Hozuki Clan, it's now nearly fallen to ruin. Oh, and that small clan with Nether Release I mentioned—presumably, they've been wiped out too, haven't they?"
"Of course, we do have one thing over the Leaf Village: when it comes to rogue ninjas, our Mist Ninja Village is number one."
Yuto still had a smile on his face, but everyone could hear the coldness in his tone.
If Yuto didn't know that a few members of his former staunch supporters, the Mizunotsume Clan and the Taketori Clan, still survived in the world, he might have already unleashed a massacre, storming straight to the Akatsuki Organization!
Yuto paused here, quietly observing everyone present.
For a moment, the entire hall was so silent that only the sound of breathing could be heard.
Elder Genji let out a slow sigh, his eyes filled with guilt.
Suddenly, Yuto laughed—a relaxed, carefree laugh—and casually waved his hand:
"No need to be nervous, everyone. I'm not saying this to blame any of you. In fact, most of this isn't your fault. If anything, the majority of the responsibility lies with me."
"Because of my existence, the other ninja villages must have targeted the Mist Ninja Village relentlessly."
At this, Yuto's tone carried a hint of apology.
Bang!
With the sound of a hand slamming on the table, Terumi Mei, to everyone's astonishment, suddenly stood up and spoke excitedly:
"How could this possibly be Lord Yuto's fault? If it weren't for the uncertainty of when Lord Yuto would be resurrected, the other ninja villages would have targeted the Mist Ninja Village even more aggressively!"
After speaking, Terumi Mei felt the stunned gazes of those around her. Her face flushed bright red, and she quickly sat back down.
