Chapter 28 - CHAPTER 28 – THE AWAKENING

Omega Server shook like a dying beast.

The Trinity Unit stood tall, golden light fusing into a single destructive singularity.

[SYNC PROTOCOL: 100%]

[TRINITY STRIKE – CHARGING]

The crimson sky cracked apart, a pillar of gold stabbing through the heavens. The black core tower trembled as if even the server itself feared what was coming.

For a moment—the war froze. Corporate soldiers halted mid-step. Dark Tooth stilled their blades. Even the Hunter AIs suspended their slaughter.

Every eye turned toward the storm of light. A strike absolute was about to fall.

Lux spoke first, voice calm, golden eyes burning.

"Light pierces shadow."

Umbra's growl followed, rough as grinding code.

"And shadow devours light."

Vita's smile gleamed, emerald eyes shimmering.

"Life and death… are merely lines I choose."

Their voices blended into a digital chorus.

[TRINITY STRIKE – READY]

Yuto'o stood opposite them. His body fractured 90%, blood-data pouring like molten code. His glitch sword—half broken—trembled in his grip.

Yuuki's whip flared beside him, panic slipping through his crimson gaze.

"Kid, back down! If you take that head-on, you'll be erased!"

Yuto'o exhaled slowly. His smile wasn't mocking this time. It was calm. Almost serene.

"If I retreat now, my vow means nothing. But if I fall this way… let me crash loud enough to echo across corporate history."

Glitch aura exploded from his body, distortion waves shredding the battlefield.

[GLITCH WARP FIELD – FULL DISTORTION]

Dozens of Yuto'o's shadows erupted, sprinting from every angle. But something shifted—something new.

From the bleeding ground of Omega, blue-red Guardians rose. Not one. Not five. Dozens.

They screamed voiceless rage, surging with their master.

[GUARDIAN POSSESSION – LINKED]

The server convulsed.

Yuto'o stood at the epicenter, nearly destroyed—yet his eyes blazed wilder than ever.

A new directive flashed across his own fractured code.

[NEW SKILL GENERATED – HYBRID EVOLUTION]

[GLITCH GUARDIAN FIELD]

For the first time, Lux faltered, his voice cracking.

"…He evolved… in the middle of corruption?"

Umbra's grip tightened, his scythe juddering. "That's impossible."

Vita smiled—but sweat lined her voice. "An error… turned into a weapon. How… delicious."

The Trinity unleashed their strike.

Golden radiance split the sky. Umbra's shadow scythe devoured the ground. Vita's rewrite tore reality down line by line.

Together, their force was apocalyptic.

Yuto'o roared back. Guardians leapt in unison, shadows slashing from every warp.

[GLITCH GUARDIAN FIELD – ACTIVATED]

A tidal wave of glitch distortion collided with the Trinity's divine light.

BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

Omega Server shattered.

The battlefield fractured into broken voids of red and gold. The black tower split with shrieks of code. The sky itself ripped apart, bleeding neon.

Both armies screamed—corporate legions scattering, Dark Tooth howling, Syndicate mercs fleeing, even Hunter AIs reeled back from the detonation.

Silence.

From the storm of glitch and gold… a figure emerged.

Yuto'o.

Barely standing, 95% broken, data bleeding from every fracture. Yet around him, tiny Guardians still orbited, their blue-red light shielding him like spectral armor.

He smiled faintly, lips cracked with data-blood.

"It wasn't me who fell. The system… just crashed."

Lux staggered, armor shattered. Umbra knelt, his scythe split in two. Vita staggered back, green script unraveling into errors.

The Trinity still lived—but for the first time… they wavered.

Yuuki stepped forward, eyes burning crimson, studying the boy. A rare smile tugged at his lips.

"Kid… maybe you're not just a Ghost. Maybe you're not just an error. You're the real anomaly."

The Omega Core roared alive, red light tearing through its cracked shell.

[ACCESS DETECTED – FRAGMENT HOLDER]

[OMEGA KEY: UNLOCK SEQUENCE INITIATED]

The black tower split open, crimson beams flooding the warzone.

Orbis screamed, terror in his voice.

"Yuji! If you touch that core—your corruption will spike past 100%! You'll lose yourself forever!"

Yuto'o turned. His body was ash, but his eyes… blazed calm.

His faint smile carried no fear.

"If I lose myself… at least I'll fall as a Ghost that was real."
