Chapter 25 - 24 The Past of Mikail and Swen

Swen took a deep breath, her eyes drifting toward a distant point.

This time, her voice wasn't filled with anger — it was heavy with exhaustion.

> "Some of the planets she turned into farms eventually submitted to her."

"The Lord of Darkness was no longer alone… she had an army."

Shinju listened in silence.

Swen's tone grew darker and colder.

> "That army spread across the universe.

Gathering Yang energy became their sacred mission."

> "Mikail… was one of her lords."

Koharu's eyes widened.

> "You mean Mikail—"

> "Yes," Swen said softly.

"He was one of the lords who served the Lord of Darkness."

She paused, her gaze distant once again, then began her own story:

> "I lived on a small planet.

Its name was… Lunaris."

> "Lunaris was poor in Yang," Swen continued.

"Even if you cultivated for a hundred years, you could barely create a single Yang Pill."

Her hands trembled slightly, as if reliving the memory.

> "Then one day, Mikail came."

"He brought his army with him."

Her voice hardened.

> "They conquered our planet.

We tried to resist… but they were too powerful. They crushed us completely."

She drew in a trembling breath.

> "I was the Grand Alchemist of Lunaris — one of the finest alchemists known across the stars."

"Mikail came to me and said…"

Her voice shifted, mimicking a cold, commanding tone:

> "'If you can produce ten high-quality Yang Pills within ten years, I'll spare your planet.'"

Her eyes narrowed.

> "I accepted.

Because I had no other choice."

Her hands shook, her voice cracking with pain:

> "To save my people, I had to serve a demon."

Shinju whispered softly:

> "And then…?"

Swen gave a bitter smile — one that carried years of sorrow.

She slowly shook her head and locked eyes with Shinju.

> "Then?" she repeated quietly.

"What came next… is what you did."

She swallowed hard, her voice trembling.

> "The three Yang Pills I spent three years making… you devoured them in seconds."

"And the Spear of Mikail is gone too."

A heavy silence fell.

Swen's breathing grew uneven; her hands were shaking.

> "In short… my planet, Lunaris, now awaits its inevitable end."

Koharu froze.

> "What do you mean?"

Swen lowered her head, her tone low but unwavering:

> "Mikail will return in seven years."

"To collect the Yang Pills."

"But when he comes… I won't be there."

> "And the production system will already be destroyed."

Koharu gasped.

> "Then… he—"

> "Yes," Swen said firmly.

"He'll descend upon Earth."

This time, Swen's voice didn't waver — it was steady, resolute, final.

> "When he comes, you must stand against him."

"Otherwise, Earth will share Lunaris's fate."

She took a step back, her voice softening to a whisper:

> "If we can stop him here…"

"Maybe my planet can still be saved."

"Maybe the Lord of Darkness will overlook us."

Her voice faded.

> "I just don't understand…" she murmured weakly.

"Earth already surrendered without a fight."

The words hung in the air like heavy stones.

Koharu's shoulders trembled.

She averted her gaze and lowered her head.

Shinju spoke sharply:

> "Don't bring that up."

Koharu clenched her teeth but said nothing.

She only bowed her head even lower.
