Chapter 27 - 26 Shinju’s Immortal Body

Swen clenched her fists and fixed her sharp gaze on Shinju.

> "If you were strong enough to destroy that cursed shield…"

"Then all we have to do is wait seven years. When Mikail and his army return, we'll defeat them together."

(Even Mikail himself couldn't break that barrier… yet he did,) she thought to herself.

Shinju tilted his head slightly, a faint, bitter smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

> "Then I wish you the best of luck."

Swen frowned.

> "What do you mean by that?"

Shinju placed a hand over his chest.

> "To destroy that shield, I burned away most of the cultivation I had gathered over two hundred years. What stands before you now… is just a shadow of my former self."

Swen's voice cracked.

> "W–what are you saying?!"

Shinju looked up at the dim sky.

> "Right now, the essence of the Void in the air is almost gone. I can't absorb Yin energy anymore. You'll have to fend for yourselves."

Koharu's eyes shimmered with worry.

> "So… there's really nothing we can do?"

Shinju shook his head slowly.

> "At this point, I'm far weaker than I used to be. Don't expect me to handle everything."

Swen took a step forward, fury flashing across her face.

> "This is all your fault!"

"If you weren't going to take responsibility, then why destroy the shield?!"

"Because of you, my planet—Lunaris—is facing extinction!"

Her voice trembled.

> "You absorbed three Yang Pills! Even one should have made you immortal!"

She fell silent, drawing in a breath.

Her eyes hardened with determination.

> "Hold out your arm."

Shinju raised an eyebrow.

> "What are you planning to do?"

Swen's tone was sharp and commanding.

> "I want to see the truth."

Shinju didn't answer. He quietly extended his arm.

Swen traced her fingertip across his forearm, leaving a thin cut.

Golden light bled from the wound's edge—

and in an instant, it sealed itself shut without a drop of blood.

Koharu gasped softly.

> "That healing speed… even the strongest restoration magic couldn't match that.

Your body is regenerating on its own."

Swen pulled her hand back.

Her expression twisted—caught between fear and awe.

> "So it's true…" she whispered.

"You really do have an immortal body."
