Time recedes slightly.
Just as Erza reunited with her friends, the Magic Council reached a conclusion on how to deal with the Tower of Paradise.
The ten high-ranking officials passed the motion proposed by Zeke Rein to unleash [Magical Spirit Power] on the Tower of Paradise by a landslide vote of 9 in favor and 1 against.
What made the indecisive Speaker Crawford suddenly change his mind? He ignored the objections of Makarov and Senator Yajima and announced the activation of [Magical Spirit Power], completely disregarding the lives of Erza and her companions in the Tower of Paradise.
The only person who could give Crawford the confidence to offend one of the Ten Wizard Saints to his face was another one.
At this moment, a middle-aged man in his forties, wearing a tall hat, a purple-black magic robe, and sporting a mustache, appeared in the conference room.
The man's name was Joseph Pola, one of the Ten Wizard Saints, and also the president of the magic guild "Phantom Lord," making him an extraordinary figure.
Upon hearing that Makarov had requested the Speaker to convene a high-level meeting, Joseph, who harbored animosity towards Fairy Tail, arrived uninvited without delay.
After learning the topic of the meeting, Joseph did not hesitate to support Zeke Rein and asked the Speaker to use [Magic Spirit Power] to destroy the evil Tower of Paradise.
The presence of Makarov put Speaker Crawford in a difficult position regarding the bill concerning the Tower of Paradise, given Makarov's notorious protectiveness of his own.
However, with Joseph, another member of the Ten Wizard Saints, standing up for him, Crawford has become more assertive. After all, the title of Ten Wizard Saints is given by the Magic Council, and if Makarov dares to act recklessly here, the Council wouldn't mind taking back this honor.
Makarov was furious at the sight of this group of foolish congressmen.
Faced with the impending war magic, how could he stand by and watch the children perish in the [magical spirit power]?
So Makarov acted without hesitation.
[Magical Spirit Power] requires the joint authorization of at least 7 councilors to activate. If you control 3 of them before activation, plus your friend Councilor Ajima who votes against it, you can stop the activation of this magic.
The crime of attacking a senator is serious, and even the Ten Wizard Saints cannot escape it, but Makarov doesn't care.
However, two figures stopped the enraged Makarov.
"Chairman Makarov, don't be angry."
"In order to maintain order in the magical world and to prevent dark mages from having a chance to make a comeback, although it is regrettable, some sacrifices are necessary."
Joseph's voice, slightly high-pitched, sounded as if he were trying to comfort Makarov, but anyone could hear the schadenfreude in it.
Since its inception, the Phantom Lords have been at odds with Fairy Tail. Joseph was also taught a lesson by Makarov and harbors a grudge against him.
From the images on the magic satellite, Joseph saw Erza's figure. He couldn't be happier to be able to weaken Fairy Tail's power in the name of "justice".
And Zeke Rein, or rather Gerald, who planned to make Erza a sacrifice for the Tower of Paradise, was even less likely to let Makarov ruin his plans.
Although the Tower of Paradise is not yet fully completed, it does not prevent the plan to resurrect the Dark Mage from being carried out ahead of schedule.
"Sir Makarov, I understand your feelings."
"Although I really want to save the people there, we all know how terrible the [R System] is. If that magic continues to exist in this world, more people will die because of it."
"Hesitation will only lead to trouble. I'm sorry."
After a righteous and awe-inspiring speech, Zeke Rein and Joseph, two men with ulterior motives, worked together to block and defuse Makarov's attack.
Even with his formidable strength, Makarov was unable to extricate himself from the entanglement between the two for the time being.
Since that's the case, then we have no choice but to use that magic.
Just as Makarov clasped his hands together in front of his chest, preparing to unleash his ultimate magic, the councilor's authorization was completed.
The Magic Council's ultimate weapon, the war magic [Magical Spirit Power], capable of destroying a nation, has been activated.
The massive beam of magic, connected to the magic satellite by the Council headquarters, precisely locked onto the target using the satellite's positioning capabilities, hitting the Tower of Paradise in less than half a minute.
This scene horrified Makarov, who frantically looked at the fading satellite images on the magic screen, praying that the children would escape unscathed.
Joseph chuckled and didn't linger any longer; he wanted to leave while Makarov's attention was elsewhere.
The S-class mage "Fairy Queen" died from the magic of the Council. Given Makarov's protective nature, he might just go on a rampage with the Council in a moment.
With Makarov and Erza gone, how many powerful figures remain at Fairy Tail headquarters?
According to intelligence from spies in Magnolia, three of Fairy Tail's other four S-class mages are not often in Magnolia, with only one "demon" Mira remaining at the guild.
Now is the time when Fairy Tail's defenses are at their weakest, and also the best time to destroy Fairy Tail.
In a flash of inspiration, an amazing idea popped into Joseph's mind.
The Makarov Council's infighting resulted in both sides suffering heavy losses, and Fairy Tail was killed off—how pleasing that sounds!
Thinking of this, Joseph couldn't help but lick his lips and murmured slowly, "Fairy Tail, our feud is finally coming to an end."
"If everything is as I think, from now on, 'The Ghost Ruler' should revert to its original name, and the dark guild 'Blue Skull' will once again rule Magnolia!"
...
Shortly after Joseph left, the satellite images in the meeting room that had been flashing white dots returned to normal.
Everyone present was staring intently at the screen.
Unexpectedly, the Tower of Paradise was not destroyed by the [Magic Spirit Power]. Instead, its entire form underwent a tremendous change, and the tower turned into a magnificent magic crystal!
"What...what's going on?!"
"An enormous magic crystal..."
"Could it be that the Tower of Paradise is just a container?"
"..."
"Zek Rein, give us an explanation!"
Realizing he had been tricked, Crawford quickly came to his senses and searched for the bill's initiator. However, Zeke Ray, who had just been there, had already disappeared while the other members of Congress were in a panic.
Meanwhile, in the building where the action troops were located.
The sturdy building suddenly developed numerous cracks due to aging, and rubble kept falling from the ceiling. The entire operation building collapsed in no time.
Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Mester collapsed to the ground, panting heavily. He had used [Teleport/Flash] repeatedly in a very short time to rescue all his teammates before the building completely collapsed. His magic power was almost exhausted, and his body was too tired to support him.
Mester gritted her teeth as she stared at the destroyed building. "Zek Rein's secretary, that woman's magic can manipulate time!"
"She's in cahoots with Gerald!"
In contrast to his close friend's anger, Lahar was much calmer. He wanted to report to the councilors that the serious criminal Gerald had been rescued, that Zeke Rayne had serious problems, and that he needed to be brought under control as soon as possible.
As soon as he pushed open the conference room door, Lahar knew it wasn't too late.
The councilors in the meeting room were in chaos. Some remained silent, some blushed, and some cursed Zeke Rein for inciting everyone to unleash the power of magical spirits, but no one dared to admit their mistake.
When did the council become like this?
Lahar sighed inwardly and walked toward Yajima, the only calm member of the high-ranking council, to report to him about Urutia's rescue of Geral.
Yajima nodded without saying anything, only looking at his grief-stricken old friend. For Makarov, nothing was more heartbreaking than watching his children die.
Lahar then noticed the satellite imagery on the screen. "What's that?"
Just as Yajima was about to explain, his expression suddenly changed, and he forcefully pulled his grieving old friend over, "Makarov, look!"
Makarov stared blankly as he followed his old friend's gaze. On the satellite imagery on the screen, a humanoid figure, roughly ten meters tall, flew out from the shadow of the building that had now become the Magic Crystal Tower.
That was actually a humanoid dragon-magic mech!
Erza, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, two cats, and a few people Makarov didn't recognize were all hanging on that magical mech.
Noah was nowhere to be seen.
Staring at the imposing magical mech in the picture, Makarov smiled knowingly, "This kid, he has such a good thing and doesn't even let me play with it first.
