Clark punched, and the air exploded, a shockwave invisible to the naked eye rippling outwards.
The remaining glass in the shops around the road was hit by the shockwave and shattered into dust.
The sound of breaking glass, accompanied by the explosion of air and the loud thuds of their bodies hitting the ground, made one wonder what level of combat power a human capable of fighting that monster possessed.
While Mike was still in a daze, a figure wearing a hood and mask quickly rushed to the car, extended his arm, and pressed against the car's bumper, attempting to stop its uncontrolled forward momentum.
"Ahhh!"
The roaring Hourman, using all his strength, pressed against the car, his feet sinking into the ground, muscles bulging as he resisted the car's forward charge.
The ground where he stood cracked, and using all his might, he finally stopped the car from moving, bringing it to a halt before it crashed into a wall.
Barbara, recovering from her daze, was about to pull Mike out of the car.
Courtney, Midnight Doctor, and Wildcat ran over, panting.
"Courtney?"
Barbara ignored her bleeding forehead and looked at her daughter in shock.
"What are you doing? Why are you here? Didn't Pat promise me he wouldn't let you get into danger again? Didn't you promise me you wouldn't get involved in these things anymore?"
"Sorry, Mom, I broke my word. There are some things I just have to do. Even if I don't have the Star Scepter, and my father isn't Starman but a guy who doesn't seem to love me much, I still have to do what's necessary to stop those people from the Injustice Society!"
Courtney saw her mother was injured and took out a tissue to press against her wound.
"Courtney, actually, Mom is divorcing Pat because of your issues, but I didn't expect you to show up here again. By the way, I secretly touched that stick, and the truth is, it doesn't really acknowledge me!"
Mike, holding his arm, got out of the car and glanced at Clark and Grandy, who were fighting, "But if given the chance, I would definitely become that great superhero."
"Everyone, can your family disputes wait? The first thing we should do now is to leave here immediately."
Wildcat suggested to them.
"You go first, I'm going to deal with that big guy!"
Hourman turned his head and told them resolutely.
"This monster killed my parents, I must kill it to avenge them."
After speaking, he immediately charged forward.
Mike looked at Hourman with admiration, "He was able to help us stop the car, he must be a very powerful superhero!"
Bang!
Hourman, who had just charged forward, was struck back by Grandy before he could even hit him.
His body slammed heavily onto the ground, making a deafening sound.
"Alright, I take back what I said earlier, he looks a bit lame!"
On the other side, Clark, at the center of the battlefield, found that his attacks on the monster were becoming increasingly ineffective.
After knocking him down, he would tirelessly get back up and continue fighting him.
Tireless and fearless, like a born destructive maniac, it was impossible to deliver any effective fatal blows.
After becoming distracted, Clark was caught off guard by Grandy, who swung a car from the roadside at him.
After Clark dodged, he quickly rushed forward, aiming for the opponent's knee, trying to make him unable to stand.
Bang!
With a loud bang, Grandy let out a painful roar as he was struck, finally stumbling and falling to the ground.
But as he fell, he swung his hand and fiercely hammered the ground where Clark was standing.
With a rumble, the ground exploded, and the hard ground immediately shattered into pieces, like tofu smashed into fragments.
Clark lost his footing, his body losing balance and swaying to one side.
Although he seemed to lack intelligence, Grandy's combat IQ in battle was not low. Seizing this rare opportunity, his giant right hand grabbed towards Clark.
As Clark was about to be gripped in the giant's hand, Barbara and the others watching let out a gasp!
Barbara thought this handsome high school-aged young man would be defeated.
But the next second, a blur flashed by!
Eric instantly rushed in front of Grandy, one hand blocking the fist Grandy was about to close.
His hand was placed in the middle of the opponent's fist, preventing the giant's attempt to clench his fist.
"Ugh!"
Grandy looked at Eric, who was staring at him expressionlessly, and angrily wanted to clench his fist and crush the hand of this human who dared to provoke him.
But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move Eric's hand, which was wedged in between.
"Not enough force."
Eric shook his head, opened his five fingers, and slowly opened Grandy's fist, which he was about to clench.
While the opponent's small eyes were wide and somewhat bewildered, Eric flew out a kick, sending him flying.
Boom!
Grandy's huge body slammed violently into the wall of the coffee shop, instantly shattering it.
Amidst the deafening roar and swirling dust, Grandy's body crashed heavily inside the coffee shop.
After knocking the opponent away with one blow, Eric did not pursue but looked at Clark beside him.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, this guy seems to have a healing ability, no matter how many times he's knocked down, he'll get back up."
Clark said with a frown.
After a short battle, although his body hadn't sustained much damage, his clothes were already tattered, making him look a bit disheveled.
On the other side, Courtney and the others, who had not yet left the battlefield, watched Eric kick the giant flying, and all collectively swallowed.
"I..."
Mike rubbed his eyes, somewhat uncertainly, "So what happened? Did I just watch a comic book?"
As someone who loved superhero comics the most, Mike's mind was filled with huge question marks and shock.
"This is a super cool guy!"
Forgetting that his arm had almost been dislocated, Mike said with shining eyes.
"Roar!"
Grandy, bursting out of the coffee shop, glared at the expressionless Eric with hateful eyes.
Eric's eyes slowly turned red as he was stared at, and at the same time, his feet lifted, floating into the air.
Zzzzz!
Heat Vision surged towards Grandy in an instant!
Grandy, who had already reacted, dodged the Heat Vision, then slammed the ground hard and charged towards Eric.
But facing Eric, who possessed flight ability and superior speed and strength, he was sent flying the instant he didn't even touch his body.
Boom!
The ground shook from the impact, and Grandy's back slammed heavily onto the ground, shattering the hard surface.
As he was about to get up from the ground, Eric descended from the sky again.
With a rumble, the ground where his feet landed exploded.
Amidst the stone debris, Eric's feet landed on either side of Grandy's head, and he aimed his fist at the giant monster's chest, unleashing a powerful blow.
Glass and dirt and stone debris flew outwards.
The airwave, like expanding ripples, pushed away everything in its surroundings.
Barbara and the others, who were further away, were pushed back a few steps.
Their ears rang, and they felt the air itself vibrating.
"This!"
Barbara, covering her ears and somewhat unsteady, held onto her daughter's arm, dumbfounded.
She had never imagined that someone could possess such exaggerated abilities.
Could a mere fist generate air vibrations?
Based on the conclusions drawn from her decades of teaching experience, this shouldn't belong to a human, should it?
Calling him a humanoid weapon wouldn't be an exaggeration!
"Hmm!"
Eric, letting out a shout, bent down and punched the opponent's chest again.
Accompanied by a "thump" sound, the airwave spread outwards.
Grandy, struck in the chest and assaulted by intense pain, let out a painful roar.
Thump!
The airwave spread outwards again!
Space trembled, like the shockwave formed by a cannonball exploding on the ground.
Barbara and the others had no choice but to continue retreating.
Zzzzz!
Heat Vision shot from his eyes, striking the opponent's body, and the burning and impact injuries made Grandy howl in pain, constantly struggling to get up.
Thump!
Space shook violently as Eric punched the opponent's head again.
Although Grandy blocked the blow with his arm, the giant, possessing super strong defense and healing abilities, still felt boundless pain.
Even as a zombie, he still retained some perception and emotions, so he could feel Eric's powerful oppressive and destructive force.
Zzzzz!
After a period of tormenting the opponent with Heat Vision from his eyes, he continued to strike the opponent with his fists.
Bending down, his right fist transformed into a lightning bolt carrying immense power, slamming down on the opponent's arm, which was covering his head.
The air gathered around was instantly pushed away, and space trembled once more.
Thump!
The fist retracted and fell again, accompanied by the impact of Heat Vision.
The entire battle scene turned into Eric unilaterally beating the opponent.
Hourman, lying not far away, revealed a look of shock and fear in his eyes, stood up, endured the pain, and ran backward, wanting to quickly escape from here!
But the next second, he was directly sent flying by the aftermath of the air explosion.
Courtney and the others in the distance now had expressions that had turned from shock to fear.
Barbara hugged Mike, her eyes filled with a bewildered and dazed expression.
Who exactly was the monster?
The culprit of the car accident, the driver of the pickup truck—the bearded man—got out of the pickup truck, holding a large burger in his hand, his mouth slightly open, and his eyes wide.
The culprit that caused the car accident because he bent down to pick up the burger—the extra-large burger—fell to the ground with a "plop" because he was completely engrossed in watching Eric's battle with the monster.
But at this moment, he couldn't even care about the burger, muttering,
"Oh my God, he is a god among men!"
