After Mr. Parody's mental tendrils entered Eric's consciousness, he immediately sensed an unusual energy.
His parody magic involved reciting magic spells backward, thereby making ordinary words capable of influencing reality and casting spells.
For instance, a spell like 'unlock' would be recited as 'lock open' to twist reality and make the spell effective.
The reason for reciting these magic spells backward is that there is always a price for mortals to use magic.
Parody, however, adds a layer of disguise, a layer of misdirection, allowing the caster to avoid detection by the magic's original owner.
The original owners of those spells are the abyss, the dark world, the unspeakable darkness.
They are beings that even Mr. Parody fears and dares not look directly at.
But upon touching Eric's mental world, he immediately felt a similar but even darker and more terrifying presence.
A mental world far exceeding ordinary people, boundless and vast beyond exploration, filled with existences he himself could not comprehend.
And the moisture formed by eerie and terrifying invisible things constantly devoured the mental energy he had sent in to investigate.
In the pitch-black, boundless cosmos, there were cold, blue-glowing mists.
In the chaos, a black Gotham City appeared, then was swallowed by boundless darkness, and a black, Batman-like monster with huge wings appeared in the darkness, then flashed by, and he faintly heard "Barbatos."
Indescribable octopuses, nightmarish mermaid sculptures.
He even vaguely touched the scent of those magic creators in the deeper parts.
Terrifying darkness, those magic creators seemed to be stirring because of his investigation.
He was discovered by those beings?!
Mr. Parody, who was probing Eric's mental world, was immediately startled, his heart instantly filled with fear.
Even though he was a prominent figure in the magical world, he had never witnessed such a bizarre and complex mental world.
He swore that Constantine's mental world, which he was most reluctant to probe, was as pure as an angel compared to this guy's.
He had previously thought the young man who shattered his elemental barrier was a monster, but now he changed his mind.
This guy is a hundred times more terrifying!
The idea of controlling the opponent's mind was instantly discarded by Mr. Parody; at this moment, the only thing he wanted to do was quickly escape from the opponent's mental world.
Although Mr. Parody had probed much in Eric's mental world, only an instant had passed in the outside world.
Seeing the opponent's wand pointed at him but frozen in place, Eric naturally wouldn't miss this good opportunity; he broke free from the opponent's rope control, reached out, and gripped the opponent's throat.
Even though the opponent's body was surrounded by a lightning-like presence, forming a solid defense, and these lightning bolts were constantly weakening his power.
But as long as he gripped the opponent's neck, even if he couldn't break it, he could prevent him from speaking.
"Ugh."
Sweating profusely and mentally exhausted, Mr. Parody, after expending a large amount of mental energy, finally escaped from Eric's mental world.
Upon returning to the real world, he immediately felt a stinging pain in his throat.
He wanted to chant a parody spell, but he couldn't make a sound because Eric was gripping his throat.
At the same time, Eric's eyes emitted crimson laser beams, violently impacting the opponent's face.
The protective barrier composed of lightning and beams instantly dimmed considerably.
"Ugh."
In a crisis, Mr. Parody used all his strength to maintain the magic borrowed from the forbidden, preventing it from spiraling out of control.
But the power of Heat Vision from Eric's eyes continuously increased.
Thud!
His free right hand struck out a fierce punch, heavily hitting the opponent's chest.
The blue lightning and beams constantly moving around Mr. Parody's body dimmed once again.
Boom!
The moment the final barrier shattered, Mr. Parody was sent flying backward with a heavy blow.
Heat Vision was instantly transferred to his arm using magic.
As a gush of blood spurted out, Mr. Parody's left hand was severed by the powerful Heat Vision.
"Ugh."
Mr. Parody, enduring the excruciating pain, immediately cast a spell to heal the wound on his arm.
At this point, having no desire to continue fighting, he had the urge to retreat.
He had no dealings with this mysterious Owl organization and had no intention of working for them.
It was only because a Black Magic book he had been tracking was in the Owl organization's hands that he was forced to cooperate with them in exchange for the magic book.
He had originally thought it was just a simple task, but he didn't expect to encounter such a difficult opponent.
Possessing strength and super speed unimaginable to Superman, and in terms of mental power, he was incredibly powerful and strange beyond his imagination.
Mr. Parody endured the pain of his severed arm, silently recited a parody spell, constructing a barrier to block the opponent while summoning a teleportation portal.
At the same time, in a chilly apartment building, a black-haired girl with delicate features was putting on her father's magic costume, practicing the transformation magic she had just learned.
Suddenly!
A teleportation portal suddenly opened in the room.
The next second, Mr. Parody, clutching his severed arm, stumbled out of the portal.
The startled girl immediately ran over to support her father.
"Father?!"
"Don't speak, Zatanna!"
Mr. Parody endured the pain and waved his magic wand to close the teleportation portal.
Zatanna's shocked and disbelieving gaze passed through the portal, seeing a person wearing an Owl mask on the other side.
The crimson in his eyes flashed, and his entire being exuded a heart-pounding aura.
That Owl mask, was that the guy who hurt Father?!
Zatanna gritted her teeth.
Bastard!
I'll make you pay!
Inside the Owl Council's labyrinth, Eric watched Mr. Parody escape through the escape portal and retracted his Heat Vision.
He took a deep breath to clear his slightly dizzy head.
He walked to the rubble and looked at Clark, who was half-kneeling on the ground, gasping for breath.
That strange magical lightning not only had a paralyzing effect but also continuously drained his strength, causing Clark to still not have recovered.
"Clark, you always surprise me."
Eric said with a complex tone, "I remember you promised me you'd go back to the farm."
Clark caught his breath, stood up, "Yes, I lied. Didn't Father tell me I could lie when necessary? And isn't the truth just as I feared? You ran into a little trouble, and I think my appearance this time was very necessary, just like when you suddenly appeared behind Coach Watt, wasn't it?"
Clark sighed in the direction Mr. Parody had disappeared, saying with a complex expression, "I've never seen anything like that before, was that magic?"
"You'll see more in the future, but for now, you need to go home."
No sooner had Eric finished speaking than a loud commotion erupted in the Owl Council nearby, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps.
