Since Niky and Yuzu officially became a couple, Yuzu hadn't stopped smiling, not even for a second. The girl who usually ate breakfast alone, or sometimes with Yeva, now sat with Niky at the dining table. The staff who were used to serving Niky by himself stood frozen, exchanging glances over that unusual sight.
Yuzu lowered her head when she noticed their stares. She knew exactly what those eyes meant. No one liked seeing her receiving special treatment from Niky. It was no different from the casino, where she had been ostracized simply for catching Takumi's attention too often.
"You'd better behave before I cut your eyes open."
Yuzu's head snapped up. Niky's voice sliced through the room like a knife. The warning clearly wasn't directed at her, but at the servants who had been staring with clear hostility. They immediately bowed and retreated.
