Serena's POV
"Oh… so beautiful," I whispered, my eyes fixed on my world. If only I could go back… if only it were real.
I kept smiling, mesmerized, as I traced the memories and moments of my oh-so-beautiful world. Every laugh, every tear, every fleeting second—it all felt like home again.
Ciel's POV
I just watched her, mumbling to herself in that strange, distant state.
Haa, I sighed. This needed a long-term solution—but for now, I decided I couldn't just stand by and watch her like this. I bent down and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"My love," I called softly, but she didn't respond.
"Serena," I tried again, a little louder, but still nothing.
"Serena," I said, shaking her shoulders gently. "Can you hear me?"
Finally, her eyes lifted toward mine. But what I saw made my heart seize—her gaze was terrifying, consumed by obsession, fear, and longing. It was like she wasn't even part of this world anymore.
