When Cassian answered the phone call, the voice on the other end sounded completely bewildered.
"Boss! Miss Tang suddenly vanished into the darkness with someone! I lost sight of her while tailing her just now!"
Cassian pinched the bridge of his nose, his eyes fixed on the fifth floor, which was strangely dark while the other floors blazed with light. His gut feeling told him this was all Everly's doing.
"What is going on? Why is the 5th floor the only one without lights? And what do you mean by disappearing in the dark? What was she up to before the lights went out? Spill every single detail!"
He motioned for Declan to get in touch with the building management regarding the power outage. Declan nodded, his eyes still trained on the fifth floor as he quickly pulled out his phone.
