Caterina walked inside, and immediately stopped on her tracks.
Nikolas was pacing his office, swathed in a blue grayish dress shirt that its sleeves rolled up to his forearm. A few of his buttons were left open, his unknotted tie hanging around his neck. He looked like a stressed man.
Nikolas, who seemed to have noticed her, lifted his head, turning his gaze toward her. The reading glasses he had on seemed to be slipping off his face.
Caterian's lips curled as she walked over to him. She reached up, fixing the glasses properly back into his face. Then she moved past him, taking a seat on the chair at his desk.
"You wanted to see me, I assume it's something urgent, huh?"
Nikolas turned, walking over. He set the tablet in his hand on the desk and sat down opposite her. "Why do you say so?"
