"Yes. Only if you divorce, can I probably turn her gaze back to me again," he continued. "You're in the way. And I know Viviana. So long as you're in the picture, she will never look my way. More so with that fact that she harbours immense anger towards me. So what do you say?"
Nikolas slowly sized this man up, face blank with no expression visible.
He questioned, "Do you really think I'll do that?"
Emilio shrugged.
"Of course I didn't think you would," as he said, he, he pulled out a check book out of the pocket of his suit and took out his fountain pen. "That's why I'm going to write you a check."
Nikolas blinked at him.
"How much do you want?" Emilio taunted. "One million? Five million? Or perhaps ten?"
Nikolas stared at the man. Then all of a sudden, he began chuckling. "Ten million?" He peered hard at him. "That's all she's worth to you? That's really cheap ya know?"
