DOMINIC
Olivia stopped crying, but she was still in my arms. I let go, then held onto her as her knees buckled.
"You need to sit," I murmured, leading her to the couch and gently sitting her.
"Do you need water?" I asked, staring at her swollen face, with black mascara smeared across her cheeks and a red nose.
She said nothing. So, I assumed she needed it. I turned to leave, but her hand tightened around my wrist, holding me back.
"Stay," she whispered in a small voice.
My eyes narrowed on hers. "I'm not being nice to you, Olivia. I still stand by what I said. You need to go home."
Olivia's lips wobbled, and once again, tears began to roll down her cheeks. But that didn't move me. "Jason insulted me, and now you are going to do the same? Have a little empathy, Dominic."
"You won't even ask me what happened between us, and the reason he's here in the first place with his sister. Yet, you're siding with him against me."
