Eric and Max's group all thought this was a good idea; even Asat and Ake raised their heads, looking at Thomas with joy.
"It's very dangerous there..." Asat hesitated.
He was both glad to have the Snow Wolf people guide the way and afraid of implicating them. When proposing to return to find his tribesmen, he had prepared himself for a one-way trip, but he couldn't drag others to their deaths because of his selfishness.
Thomas patted the young man, who was even younger than his own son, on the shoulder with his large hand, his voice earnest: "I will be careful. When the time comes, you must stay calm; absolutely do not act impulsively."
Asat nodded joyfully: "I definitely won't act recklessly. If we find tribesmen, we'll bring them back; if not..."
He hesitated for a moment, then continued with difficulty: "...if we can't find them, we will return immediately, not lingering."
With his promise, everyone felt somewhat relieved.
