Ava went very still.
She didn't look angry or defensive, she just went silent.
For a long moment, Ava didn't speak. Theo didn't know what she was thinking, and instantly cursed herself for being so darn poky and curious. Now she had made the girl uncomfortable.
Then, Ava smiled warmly, "How did you figure it out?"
"I...I...," Theodora swallowed, suddenly unsure, "I saw the way you were looking at everything and I guess I got curious and watched you,"
"No wonder it felt like you wanted to rip me open with your eyes," She chuckled.
"So, you're really -"
"Blind, yes," Ava replied
All the pieces slammed together at once. But right now, Ava was staring into Theo's eyes like any normal person would. Blind people usually stared without focus.
"How do you see?" Theo whispered.
