Ava stood up, her brown eyes glowing powerfully. The air vibrated with something new, something Theo had never witnessed before. Whatever was happening to Ava, the walls trembled along with it. Some books fell off the shelf.
The bullies backed away, their eyes wide with terror.
Theo watched, fascinated.
Ava looked so much different from the girl on the floor just a moment ago.
But just like that, that powerful burst of something new suddenly disappeared. Ava's eyes stopped glowing, and the air calmed again.
Huh? What the hell?
Ava slumped back down to the ground again, groaning while clutching her head.
"What the hell was that?" The brunette cursed, then boldly kicked Ava's leg to check and see whether she would suddenly ignite again.
Not happened.
"I think we should leave,"
"No," Expensive boots stepped forward, "Whatever happened to her vanished. She's still the same stupid, helpless brat we know,"
Before she could touch Ava's hair, a hand smacked hers away.
