Zeke stirred along with the evening sun, breathing lightly as he peeled his eyes open to the familiar ceiling of his dorm.
His mind felt foggy at first, and then it all came back to him.

His breath hitched with panic, his heart already thudding fast as he intended to jump out of his bed. Maybe it was because he was still a bit tired and his mind was slammed into chaos the moment he woke up, but he almost failed to acknowledge the familiar scent of pine in his room and a small weight in his arms.
"Zeke, are you okay?"
Zeke froze for a moment. Last night, he had held Hellcat's cold body in his arms, but she felt so warm right now. He had recalled seeing her open her eyes before he had passed out, and dearly hoped he didn't hallucinate.
