Chapter 25: Concept Gods — Full-Power Shisui vs. Card-Hoarder Yujiro
All that talk about fake Rinnegan and mock Sage of Six Paths mode? Yeah… that was just Yujiro slapping gold foil on his own face.
If he actually had a Mangekyō Sharingan combined with Hashirama's cells, then sure, cobbling together a Rinnegan might have been possible.
But in reality? The gap between Yang Release chakra and Hashirama cells was about the size of the Himalayas. The distance between a mere three tomoe Sharingan and the Mangekyō was about three to five Rin Noharas wide.
What Yujiro was really doing was using Yang Release chakra to temporarily buff his eyes—pushing his three-tomoe Sharingan to briefly operate at a Mangekyō-level of perception. It supercharged his vision and boosted his body, especially his scouting abilities.
Sustainable long-term? Not a chance. Overuse would burn his eyes out faster than you could say "Hyūga cosplay."
But for a short burst? It was more than enough.
---
Yujiro narrowed his gaze.
"—There. Four explosive tag traps. Holding position, eh? Not bad."
One glance, and he had pinpointed Shisui's setup: a perimeter of explosive tag traps backed by a phantom body flicker clone—genjutsu bait plus a minefield. A classic old-school combo.
But Shisui's clones were different from normal ones. His phantom body flicker, empowered by the Sharingan, was almost indistinguishable from the real thing—even when attacked, it wouldn't pop so easily. That made it all the more deceptive.
Yujiro couldn't help but grin. With tricks like this, Shisui really is Konoha's mini-Naruto.
---
Of course, at the same moment Yujiro spotted him, Shisui believed he had spotted Yujiro.
"Got you, Yujiro-nii. Wait—damn it! The one heading for my clone… is also a clone!"
Thinking he'd outsmarted Yujiro, Shisui's smirk rose like a fish caught on a hook. If that was a decoy, then the real Yujiro had to be—
"Behind me!"
No Byakugan, no 360° vision—yet Shisui still reacted, whipping around and hurling a volley of kunai at the figure behind him.
Of course, the kunai were just cover. The real finisher was always genjutsu. As long as their eyes met—game over.
Except… it wasn't.
Because the figure behind him was another clone.
"!"
Realization hit like a hammer. Shisui flickered away at top speed, vanishing just as Yujiro's rubber-threaded kunai pierced the ground where he had stood.
A fraction of a second slower and the battle would've been over.
Even so, Shisui had lost the initiative. His carefully laid minefield was already useless.
"Damn it, Yujiro-nii. That's dirty."
Yujiro only smirked. "That's just how ninja fight."
And his attacks only grew harsher. His left hand twitched, launching three more kunai on taut rubber cords, tripling the pressure.
Shisui's eyes widened. "—Six kunai manipulation?! You didn't even go this hard against Obito!"
Yujiro barked a laugh. "Obito can't compare to you, brother. Don't sell yourself short."
"But seriously… you've leveled up. Controlling six at once, your chakra reserves must have shot up."
"My next goal?" Yujiro grinned. "One thousand blades—then graduate from kunai to swords. I'll call it… Super Ultimate Sword Return-to-Origin!"
"…That name sucks. But fine—I've got something new too!"
---
A crimson arc of light carved through the canopy.
Flame surged along a blade as Shisui poured fire chakra into his sword, unleashing a blazing slash that tore through trees and seared the air itself.
It wasn't ninjutsu. It was swordsmanship enhanced with elemental chakra—a taijutsu/ninjutsu hybrid strike.
Yujiro's eyes flickered. The slash had severed not just trees but also the rubber cords tethering his kunai.
Unable to use genjutsu reliably, unable to cast ninjutsu without hand signs, Shisui had innovated. This new technique shattered Yujiro's pressure and reset the battlefield to even footing.
Yujiro exhaled softly. "…Impressive."
Shisui smirked. "I was inspired by you, Yujiro-nii. If you can innovate, then so can I."
The two faced each other in silence, preparing for the next round.
Shisui's new technique resembled Yujiro's chakra blade arts, but the difference was clear—Yujiro fought like close-range physical enchantments, while Shisui's strike carried the wide-area power of a ranged magical attack.
Yujiro tilted his head. "Got a name for it?"
"Not yet. I only came up with it recently. Any ideas?"
"…If it were me, I'd call it Flame-Leaping Blade. Uchiha Style: Flame-Leaping Blade."
Shisui's eyes lit up. "That's good. Done—that's the name."
Shisui lowered his stance, body leaning forward, every muscle coiled like a spring about to unleash.
Across from him, Yujiro raised his arm slightly, eyes glinting with a strange light—as if he were scheming something that even the Sharingan couldn't fully read.
After a brief pause, the two prepared to clash again.
Yujiro versus Shisui—who now fought with his full arsenal of taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu. A force of nature. A concept god in his own right.
Yujiro Uchiha: "The odds aren't great for me… but that doesn't matter."
Shisui Uchiha: "Then why not surrender now?"
Yujiro: "Hmph. Don't be ridiculous."
The word had barely left his lips when Shisui vanished.
—Body Flicker!
In the blink of an eye, dozens of Shisuis burst forth, encircling Yujiro on all sides. They attacked as one: some swinging their blades with deadly precision, others launching fire-style ninjutsu—Great Fireball, Phoenix Sage Fire, Dragon Fire.
Individually they were only C-rank techniques, but in Shisui's hands, their power sealed every possible escape route. Worse still, even with his Sharingan active, Yujiro could only discern a portion of the illusions—the rest were so convincing he couldn't be sure which were real.
And all the while, he had to keep part of his focus guarding against Shisui's genjutsu. He couldn't devote his full attention to the onslaught.
This was a crushing disadvantage. Against such overwhelming pressure, even an elite jōnin would likely fall. Even many Kage-level shinobi might be forced to their knees.
But Yujiro had prepared for this.
Yujiro: "Shisui… did you really think I trained my left hand to this level of dexterity just to juggle kunai?!"
Shisui: "What?!"
Shisui's eyes widened as Yujiro's left hand snapped to his hip. With a sharp shraaang! another chakra blade slid free from its sheath.
Dual swords now gleamed in Yujiro's grip, moving with blistering speed. Scarlet arcs of light slashed through the phantom army, cutting down Shisui's seemingly flawless offensive in an instant—like red moonlight tearing the night apart.
This was Yujiro's hidden trump card, the ace he had concealed until now.
Uchiha Two-Sword Style: Crimson Moon Sword Dance!
