Liona's screams coincided with Laus and her three older brothers returning from the mosque. Hearing her screams and heartbreaking cries, the four men of different ages immediately ran towards her in a panic.
"Liona!" Laus shouted with a trembling voice.
"Sis!" her three older brothers shouted in unison.
The sound of their footsteps thundered as they ran towards the room. Finding their baby standing in front of the open window crying hysterically, they immediately approached her with a sense of gripping anxiety.
"Liona, why are you crying, dear? What's wrong?" asked Laus, trying to calm his little daughter.
"Mom! Mom is unconscious over there!" said Liona, pointing her tiny finger toward the well with a hand that was still trembling with fear.
Thump, thump, thump.
Laus's heart beat very fast when he heard that his wife had fainted near the well. His breath caught in his throat, and without thinking twice, he immediately ran out of the house in a hurry.
