Raze slowly lifted his head again. Though it felt like he carried a ton on his shoulders, he looked at those piercing eyes. "I just want to talk," he said again, a determined look in his eyes.
The creature focused deeply on him. "Hmm, I can't sense any ill will from you," the voice said, and this time it didn't hurt. Raze could finally breathe easy.
He got back on his feet, used the back of his hand, and wiped the blood from his mouth. He looked at the eyes. "I honestly thought you would eat me or something," he said, letting out a chuckle.
The creature blinked. "Eat you? I won't. I have no desire for human flesh anymore," it said and then started walking forward. Raze moved back fast, and the figure came into the lighter side of the cave.
Raze instinctively made another flame with his palm. This time it didn't go out, the flames showed the body of the creature he had been looking at.
