Harmonica exhaled sharply, her face hardening as she stared up at him.
''The father of my son?! Do I need to remind you who he is?! Or didn't you already figure that out five years ago?'' She asked coldly, pushing him away from her.
Lucas stared at her, his face unreadable.
He turned around and headed for his swivel chair, plopping on it tiredly.
''Why are you here?!'' His voice was cold, distant.
Harmonica swallowed her spit. ''To say thank you. For saving my son.''
No response.
Harmonica cleared her throat, stepping closer to his desk. ''To prove that I'm grateful, I have decided to accept the merger.''
Lucas stared up at her, his brow raised in questions. ''Is that the only reason?''
''Yes.'' Harmonica lied through her teeth.
From the amused expression on his face, Harmonica could already tell that he knew the scene his mother had caused at her company.
Regardless, she ignored.
''And thank you for helping me out with my dad.'' She said again.
