Chapter 8 - Chapter Seven: Voyage to Namek

Almost everything was unfolding just as I remembered from the original timeline, but this time I had the advantage of knowledge. I already knew the schematics of the spaceship Goku used to reach Namek, and even better—I knew the exact coordinates of Planet Namek.

Instead of relying on a gravity chamber, I reinforced the ship itself. Of course, there were limits to how strong I could make it, so I added a new feature: the ship could absorb the ki I released while training inside and store it as backup energy. That energy could then be redirected to power a protective forcefield around the ship. With this upgrade, our journey would be even faster than Goku's trip in my original timeline.

I built two ships. One for Goku and Raditz to use once they recovered, and the other for myself and Krillin. But to my surprise, Chiaotzu insisted on coming along.

"Are you sure?" I asked him. "This won't be easy."

His eyes hardened with determination. "I'm sure. I can't just stand by anymore."

Each ship was also fitted with a time-dilation device. It wasn't as strong as the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, but it would give us a ten-to-one ratio—sixty days of training in just six. Goku's ship had one too, along with a new device I created for him: a gravity generator capable of producing up to two hundred times Earth's gravity. Before departure, I gave him every detail about its use. Just in case he forgot, I made sure my father knew how it worked as well.

When we took off, Goku and Raditz were still heavily injured. There was no time to wait for senzu beans.

The first day was calm, but on the second day we began training. By the third day—thirty days in the dilation chamber—Krillin, Chiaotzu, and I were already adapting to fifty times Earth's gravity. At the same time, I worked on rebuilding my armor. This new version could handle more ki and boost power up to twenty times base level.

I noticed Chiaotzu struggling, and at first, he even cried. Finally, he confessed:

"When Tien was holding Vegeta back in his Oozaru form, I couldn't do anything. I just stood there, useless… and then Tien died. I can't let that happen again."

Hearing that, I decided both he and Krillin needed armor too. With a push of a button on their wrist devices, the armor deployed across their bodies. I taught them how to channel their ki into the generators.

Krillin could manage ten minutes at twenty times his base power. Chiaotzu could only sustain three minutes, but it was progress. As for me, I could push thirty minutes.

On the fourth day, something unexpected happened. A voice reached into my mind—it was King Kai.

"I see you've set out for Namek," he said. "But beware. Frieza is already moving, and he's far more dangerous than you realize."

I froze at the warning, but then I heard more voices. Yamcha, full of his usual enthusiasm, and Tien, calmer but firm, exchanged words with us. Chiaotzu lit up hearing Tien's voice again. Piccolo, however, remained silent.

King Kai's tone grew serious. "There's something else. I sense a time distortion aboard your ship. What exactly are you carrying, Bulma?"

"The time-dilation device," I admitted. "It gives us sixty days in six."

"That explains it. Be careful. Such technology is dangerous. Used recklessly, it could do more harm than good."

I took a deep breath. "I understand. I'll be careful."

Even with his warning, I couldn't afford hesitation. I knew I might not yet be strong enough to defeat Frieza, but one thing was certain—I would do everything in my power to save as many Namekians as possible.
