Chapter 37 Azik's Abnormality
Lu Ze had a strange dream.
In his dream, he saw a giant snake as big as a mountain.
The giant snake's body was covered in massive scales that were a tinge of dark green. From the gaps between the scales, white feathers stained with pale yellow oil protruded. It even had a pair of wings on its back that could be deployed. With these wings fluttering, the giant snake soared and circled between the pitch-black sky and the blue sea.
The ancient, decaying bronze gate slowly opened above the giant snake, revealing countless strange creatures peeking out from within. Some were made of bones, others were covered in decay, brimming with the aura of death.
The overall picture, while terrifying and bizarre, also seems to have a touch of sacredness.
Lu Ze looked at the giant snake. For some reason, in his dream, he didn't feel the giant snake was scary at all.
The giant snake coiled and turned around, finally revealing its true face in front of him - it was actually a human face, and pale flames were burning in the eye sockets of this face.
Lu Ze and the giant snake looked at each other.
Then he saw that the giant snake's eyes, burning with pale flames, suddenly showed a look of fear. It was as if Lu Ze, who was staring at it, was something even more dangerous than itself!
Is it afraid of me?
Lu Ze was a little surprised. Just as he was about to speak, he realized he couldn't move at all. He was actually nailed to the rack, and hanging upside down! The dark sky in his eyes was actually the ground, and the blue sea was actually the sky.
Then, he suddenly woke up.
Sitting up slowly, Lu Ze found himself in a room in the Dragon Bar. Looking down, he saw him lying on a bench with his coat covering him.
"Are you awake?"
A calm voice sounded beside him.
Lu Ze looked in the direction of the person who was speaking, and a very distinctive man came into his sight.
The man had bronze skin, black hair, brown eyes, and soft features. Judging from his appearance, he was probably only in his thirties or forties, but his eyes revealed an indescribable vicissitudes of life, as if he had seen the whole of life and was completely calm.
He looked at Lu Ze with a strange expression, as if he was recalling something from the past, and seemed sad and lonely.
Lu Ze always felt that he seemed a little familiar.
Ah, yes, his face looks very similar to the human face on the giant snake!
The reason I fainted was because I saw something pale.
Can't look at him!
Lu Ze quickly closed his eyes, turned his head, hugged the back of the chair, and jumped behind the bench. As he landed, his right hand touched the holster in his arms.
This person is definitely extraordinary!
Lu Ze had been shocked before by visions of the True Creator or the Hidden Sage, but those were all rituals or hallucinations, fleeting glimpses of the shadowy image of the evil god. But this time, with the other party right in his face, even the gold finger in his body didn't have time to activate, and his brain shut down as if to protect itself.
This also shows that the man he saw was definitely a strong man.
"No need to close your eyes, I have already collected all my breath."
The man's soft voice came over.
"I am a Nighthawk. If you attack me, you will be an enemy of the Goddess Church."
Lu Ze warned the other party as if he didn't hear his words. He still closed his eyes and fumbled to pull out the revolver.
"I mean no harm, I just didn't expect you to be so sensitive and see the mystery in me." The man's tone seemed a little helpless. "And if I really wanted to hurt you, why didn't I do it while you were unconscious?"
What he said seemed to make some sense.
Lu Ze thought about it and had to admit it.
He stood up cautiously and observed the other person with his peripheral vision. He found that there was no suspicious smell on the other person, like an ordinary person. If he had not just been knocked unconscious by the impact, he might have thought that there was something wrong with his eyes.
"Don't be so vigilant. My name is Azik. I'm a history teacher at Hoy University. I know Klein, and I'm not a suspicious person."
The bronze-skinned man introduced himself.
Not suspicious? I don't believe you.
Lu Ze complained inwardly. He recalled that Klein happened to be a graduate of the History Department of Hoy University. If the man in front of him was indeed his, it would be reasonable for Klein to know him and greet him.
"Where's Klein?"
He asked.
"I'm going to find you some water."
Azik said.
Sure enough, not long after, Klein entered the room carrying a glass of water.
"You're awake? Great!"
He looked very happy to see Lu Ze standing up.
But Lu Ze couldn't be happy.
First it was Old Neil, then Azik. Klein, what kind of freaks are your teachers?
Lu Ze forced a smile at him, took the cup and took a sip.
He noticed that Azik had been looking at him, but his eyes were unfocused, as if they penetrated his body.
"There's a very familiar aura about you, but I can't remember where it is."
He said with some melancholy.
But I don't know you.
Lu Ze thought to himself.
"Besides that, you and Klein share a sense of disharmony in your intertwined fates. Have you been encountering a lot of coincidences lately?"
Azik continued.
coincide?
Lu Ze subconsciously recalled, and then recalled a series of experiences he had after traveling through time.
For example, Sirius's letter was burned, Hainas came to Blackthorn Security Company in the middle of the night, he happened to become roommates with Hood Eugen on the day he was hospitalized, and he was involved in Lanevus's ritual. It can be said that coincidences are everywhere.
Could there be some deeper reason behind this? Especially since the other party was a High-Sequence Expert, his words were even more credible.
"Mr. Azik, do you mean that Lu Ze has also been affected?"
Klein was surprised.
"Um."
Azik nodded. Without further explanation, he stood up and put on his hat.
"Since you are fine, let me take my leave first."
He saw Lu Ze's vigilance and didn't want to put too much pressure on Lu Ze, so he chose to avoid him temporarily. He didn't turn around until he reached the door.
"Your aura is very unique, and perhaps very important to me. If it's convenient one day, I hope you can meet me privately and do me a favor," Azik said. "Of course, you can always refuse. However, if you come, I will definitely give you a satisfactory reward."
Lu Ze hesitated when he heard this.
The promise of a powerful person was indeed very tempting. And if he took advantage of this opportunity, he might even be able to find out his own secrets.
"Then how can I contact you?"
He asked.
"Through Crane."
Azik left after saying this.

Afterwards, Luze asked Klein about Mr. Azik. It turned out that he, too, only discovered Mr. Azik's peculiarities after becoming a Beyonder. He speculated that he might be a High-Sequence Powerhouse.
"Have you ever thought of reporting him?"
"Mr. Azik doesn't seem like a bad person, and I've divined that if I don't report him, he'll save my life in some way later."
Klein explained.
"Okay. So what about that incongruous fate he mentioned?"
Klein then shared another story with him. It turned out that he, too, had encountered many coincidences. Through dream divination, he discovered that the culprit was related to a house with a red chimney.
Klein has already hired a detective to search for the house for him.
Lu Ze nodded and said, "I think we can cooperate on this matter. I'm willing to help. Remember to let me know if there's any news. Keep it secret from the captain first."
"Well, it's better not to let too many people know for now."
The two chatted like this as they returned to the Blackthorn Security Company.
Next, Lu Ze will try to make a sleeping spell.
