Draco's fingertips had started to get cold, and Jayden's clothes were soaked with Draco's blood. He could already feel the pain of losing him, but he wasn't ready to accept that.
"If only I were stronger!" He whispered between gritted teeth. His hands trembled as he carried Draco's near-lifeless body on his back.
"Humans!" Kamisama growled in his mind. "So weak! Does this feel like the right time to despair? We're wasting time, you know? Come on, you're better than this, Jayden."
"How?" Jayden quivered as he fell to his knees, his eyeballs shaking in despair.
"How are we gonna get to the Water Clan with all these MAGEO guards watching around?"
His body began shaking. Every inch of Draco's blood that crawled down his skin made him feel more hunted.
"It's my fault. I should have informed Grandma and Fina about the mission," Jayden whispered.
