Deacon sat at his desk and focused on the monitor of his pc as he thought of different ways to capitalize on the patch notes of a well-known game.
Before he could continue noting routes and planning tactics for his favorite character, he felt dizzy and soon tumbled off of his office chair.
As bouts of dizziness assaulted his mind he retched and blew chunks all over his room's carpet. Deacon tried to get up and get to his medicine on the end table beside his bed, but before he could he felt a pull as if gravity decided to rotate. Mixing what was up and down for him while he let out a scream of terror while he left his home dimension behind.
Deacon found himself losing consciousness every so often visions of a man beside him black hair dark skin in casual clothing. He himself was in his pajama pants and a t shirt same black hair and brown eyes but lighter skin than what he saw from the other.
Every so often after he blacked out, he'd see something different. An office chair floating off in the distance, the other person waking up and yelling some strange mix of swears and what sounded like a cartoonish mix of words as that same person started to slowly dissolve.
They both drift in what felt like a cold expanse of darkness only able to see each other as they eventually were able to stay conscious for more than a minute.
As soon as Jacob the other guy there still disolving looked over Deacon saw his eyes turn lighter as the rest of Jacob disappears fully. Deacon's vission blacking out.
Jacob found his way towards a glowing orb in the center of what he assumed to be vast nothingness. Soon after walking up to it he saw Deacon in the orb plunging towards what looked like a town. Jacob seeing this deadpanned and grumbled before he thought of what he could do in his own situation knowing that his acquaintance Deacon was soon to be dead. No one could survive such a fall it's not as if humans were made of stronger stuff than meteorites nevertheless, he picked up the orb looking at it from every angle he could.
Finding what looked like to be a notification Icon on the bottom right of the ball no matter where he turned it, he tried pressing his finger to it but to no avail. He soon tried using his voice to activate it but again he failed. He didn't think too much before he tried mentally commanding it and somehow finding a browser search which startled him as to what he was seeing. Every single search he could ever have done online popped up as an option, but he soon focused on just trying to find a way to learn what this orb was and how it could get him back home, that was when he heard a voice in his mind. "Administrator permissions granted. Welcome to the Olympus dimension. Please give a command." Jacob startled soon caught up to what was happening and smiled.
"Please blunt the force of Deacon's descent!" The orb glowing brightly soon displayed that Deacon had been protected from what was a lethal fall. "Wish fulfilled. Wish on cooldown for 1000 years." Jacob now dumbfounded but grateful to help his fellow traveler decides to look through what other features the orb has while Deacon is carried off by a couple guards and a few concerned tribesman and tribeswoman.
It was two days later that Deacon woke up sore. Opening his eyes he noticed he was in what looked like a knock off version of what most people back home consider to be heaven, his eyes meeting what looked to be an angel from myths in a maid uniform. "Good morning guest. Goddess Illias has sent me to care for you until you are well enough to visit her at the temple." Deacon blinks as he soon starts to understand what the angel said. "Good morning? I'm Deacon nice to meet you."
Maiciel guided him to his temporary home and gave him a map of the small town of Illiasville. When he saw the map he was baffled 'what happened to the technology? Sure small towns on the outskirts had less stuff but at least a telephone booth and maybe a radio station or two. Hell even wifi would be great! And what's with the naming sense It's Godawful!.' Keeping his thoughts to himself and groaning a little while he thought of what his next move should be after recovering ignoring the wings on the person before him. Angel or not he wasn't one to talk a whole lot with others.
After parting ways with Maiciel ascending back up to heaven temporarily to do her duties there. Deacon decides to look around town after all it's his first time being in such a small town why not see the sights? 'An old water tower here a rustic wood fence there... Why is there a sign that says beware or monsters? Nevermind I don't want to know.' promptly leaving it be he then goes back home to rest and hopefully wake from this so far pleasant dream.
Jacob scratches his head wondering why there was a strange book with grey binding, pages, and bookmark. Going through the first page he sees a silver shining page starting to slowly reveal strings of words. They look like code commands he notes this and tries to put in the basic hello world prompt into the next page mentally but the page doesn't react besides a slight pixelated wave of texture changing. Before he can be upset at that a little he notices a pen appeared in his hand and looks it over. The same silvery color as the first page.
"What gives me more information, tests what rules this book has and helps me learn how to write in commands without issues later...Know what? Screw it I'll just dick around with the commands and figure it out from there."
Looking over the commands he would know in his mind Jacob went through cokor changing, model manipulating and other simple coding tricks. Eventually bottoming out his knowledge at causing an object to have no collisions.
"What's the system of the world out there? What can I recode? What can I create? What can I destroy... It'd be pretty funny if I could delete Illias. Is she even a fixture here? I hope she is cause if not then we're in new territory."
Using some coding he sends a message to Deacon. "HELLO FRIEND I HOPE YOU'RE WEL- Hold on caps lock... how the hell does a orb have caps lock? Anyways Hello! I hope this message finds you well and you are not panicking. The world we are in is something I'm somewhat familiar with so bear with me I may be able to help in some areas.
I will be editting your body a little if I see some magic stuff I can put into you or adversely I can try putting some monster attributes onto you like a dragon or a slime or something interesting! If you wish to talk to me back... too bad!
I don't know how to do that and Im still messing with the controls a bit. It's sorta like coding. Anyways gift pack arriving! I made a few new things using my artistic liberty!
