Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Mysterious Forest

Valker was falling from a kilometer in the sky, screaming as the wind hit his face with force. His eyes watered from the pressure, and the ground approached at a terrifying speed. His blood ran cold as he saw the inevitable: the impact.

Valker: AAAAAHHHHH! —he screamed in desperation, moving uselessly— Why… why… why… why am I falling out of nowhere?!

Seconds later, the world exploded in a brutal impact.

CLACK!

BANG!

Against all odds, Valker got up, surprised to notice that his wounds were gone, as if the pain had evaporated.

Valker: Am I still alive? If that even means anything… —he said with sarcastic laughter, adjusting his clothes— Well… let's move on.

But as he took a step, an indescribable pain pierced through him. His voice died in his throat; he could only growl and let out a silent scream. He collapsed under a tree, his face twisted in agony.

Valker: Grr! —he growled, barely managing to whisper— It hurts!

The world seemed empty. He allowed himself to rest, closing his eyes as his breathing calmed. He dreamed of his parents, of all the abuse he had suffered, and a bitter laugh escaped his lips: at least he would never see them again.

After a while, he woke up. The pain had lessened; his muscles no longer burned. He slowly got up.

Valker: Okay… I guess it's time to find out what this place is —he murmured as he walked cautiously through a strange forest—. Bright, unreal… nothing natural or normal.

Curious, he touched a leaf. A wave of invisible energy launched him into the air, silent but powerful.

Valker: WHAT THE HELL…?! —he shouted as he fell headfirst— I still don't know if I'm alive…

He got up, breathing heavily, observing the leaves with fascination and respect. Each one was wrapped in a white aura he couldn't identify, bright and supernatural.

Valker: This isn't normal. These leaves aren't what they seem… and this tree isn't either —he said, stroking his chin, thinking of possible explanations—.

He tried to touch the trunk. He was immediately thrown back, landing violently.

Valker: NOT AGAIN!! —he growled, feeling his neck crack— MMMM!

He got up again, amazed at how quickly his body was regenerating. The tree and its leaves glowed with imposing energy, as if each branch breathed an unknown power.

Valker: Incredible… what are they made of? Who created them? —he whispered, approaching cautiously.—

A shiver ran down his spine. Something was moving in the distance. He hid under the forest leaves, keeping away from the trees, avoiding being detected.

Valker: What is that sound? —he murmured, hiding under a large rock— I hope I'm safe here… at least for now.

He peeked carefully. His blood ran cold at the presence. The atmosphere grew heavier, charged with supernatural energy. In the dimness, he saw an impossible creature: a single eye four meters tall, four shining wings that shook the air with each flap, and a radiant halo above its head.

Valker: What is that? —he whispered, trembling— A god… or what?

He threw himself to the ground, holding his breath, afraid of being seen. Every fiber of his body screamed smallness and vulnerability.

Valker: I feel like it's still close… why do I feel so tiny? —he told himself, trying to calm down— I need to find out what this place is.

As he did, the forest began to transform. The whiteness of the place turned dark, and stars began to shine in every tree, illuminating the surroundings with mystical light.

Valker: This place never ceases to amaze me —he said, laughing nervously— I guess I'll have to survive here a long time to understand it.

He looked around. There were no walls, only a transformed forest, full of stars in the treetops. Looking up at the sky, he froze: what he saw was much larger, brighter, and more terrifying than his mind could process.
