Khal lay slumped on the ground, breathing heavily, his expression bleak as he stared at Hagan's grave. Merlin sat next to him, calling out to him and asking what was wrong but Khal remained silent, his focus elsewhere.
Khal's stable mind skill began to react heavily, calming Khal down. Khal sat up and took a deep breath, placing his hand onto Merlin's shoulder.
"It's nothing; im fine. I was just a little startled, that's all." Merlin nodded her head and backed away, giving Khal some space.
Damn it… Khal thought, biting down on his bottom lip.
The situation has gotten even worse. Hagan didn't want me to know what she looked like to avoid her being able to track me down to earth and now that's happened.
