Seoul Central District Court. Day three.
The air in the courtroom felt different today. Heavier. Like everyone knew something big was coming.
Soorin sat in her usual spot. Daehyun on one side. Minjae on the other. Haejin was in the front row. He looked worse than yesterday. Barely holding it together.
The gallery was packed tighter than before. Press section overflowing. Public seats filled with people who'd camped out overnight for entry.
The mysterious Jung Sejin had everyone's attention now.
The judge entered. Everyone stood.
"The prosecution may call its next witness."
The prosecutor stood. "Your Honor, we call Jin Jihoon."
A ripple went through the courtroom.
Jihoon entered from the side door. He looked terrible. Pale. Thin. Moving carefully like his ribs still hurt.
He walked to the stand. Kept his eyes down. Refused to look at anyone.
After being sworn in, he sat.
"Mr. Jin, can you state your occupation for the record?"
