"You okay?" she asked quietly.
"No. But I'm getting there."
"The apologies helped?"
"Yeah. Seeing people admit they were wrong. That they jumped to conclusions. It helps."
He turned to look at her. "But six people are still in danger. And we have less than a day to find them."
"We'll find them."
"You don't know that."
"I have to believe it. Otherwise what's the point?"
He almost smiled. "When did you get so optimistic?"
"Around the same time you started being honest with me."
His expression softened. "Soorin—"
"Food's ordered!" Doyun announced loudly. "Forty minutes."
The moment broke. Haejin looked away.
Soorin stepped back. Gave him space.
'Later,' she thought. 'We'll talk later.'
Jisoo plopped onto the couch. "So where's pretty noona sleeping?"
Taekyung pulled up something on his tablet. "The spare room isn't actually that bad. It's small but it has a bed. Sort of."
"Sort of?" Soorin asked.
"It's a futon. But a nice futon."
"How nice can a futon be?"
