Valentina followed Julia like a lost puppy, everywhere she went.
She didn't understand why staff in the bank kept stopping to greet them, until they stopped by an office.
"Your dad wants to know when you're resuming?"
"I quit Gerald. What part of that don't you get?" She hissed. "Now forget about him, and process her account like I asked.
"Wow!" Valentina thought.
Her father owned the bank. They had to be rich.
She remembered Julien was a prince. It was only right that he was best friends with someone who was heiress to a bank.
"And you? You're not the one to talk. You have more money than all of them combined."
She reproached that thought. It was all money she couldn't directly access anyway. Not until she returned to the States.
"She's very pretty," she overheard Gerald say, as they got up to leave.
"Maybe you should focus on your work instead!" Julia snapped at him.
Valentina followed after her as she walked out of the room.
