"In what world do you all not notice someone is missing, four hours later?!" Luciano thundered as he returned to the judgement room.
"Carpo–"
"Shut up Salva!"
Salvatore shut his mouth, understanding this was a serious situation.
"Four hours ago was about 6am in the morning. Has she not had breakfast? Where the fuck is Sonia?! Bring her to me!"
"What's the ruckus all about?" Clicking heels echoed round the room, as Daniela walked in.
"Valentina is missing," Elio said to her as he ran out to call Sonia.
Salvatore studied her face to check for her reaction.
She surprised him by being alarmed. "What do you mean she's missing?" She drew closer to Luciano.
"It's exactly as you've heard," he turned to face her. "She's neither in Neravalle or Aurivilla."
"Impossible! No one just goes missing here in Neravalle. Someone would have noticed."
"Hear that?!" He screamed at the top of his voice. "Someone should have noticed!"
