He didn't know if he could do it.
"Just give it to me!" Valentina snatched the device from his hold that had loosened as he contemplated in his mind.
"Carpo, let her, please!" Salvatore raised his voice sternly, so Luciano could listen.
He took a deep breath, but didn't move to stop her.
Valentina dropped to her knees, holding the device with trembling fingers. "Okay, whoever is controlling the frequency from the inside, here is the code," she said, digging the device into the soil and making sure its sensor faced the sky.
