There was a reason why Jack built J.A.R.V.I.S.
One night, when he woke up suddenly, he saw Zoro guarding the ship.
Jack leaned against the ship railing, watching Zoro sitting cross-legged on top of the mast, his swords resting beside him. The moonlight shimmered on the swordsman's face—calm but alert, eyes half-open, scanning for any intruder.
Jack sighed softly. "You really don't sleep, huh?"
Zoro cracked one eye open. "Can't afford to. Someone's gotta stay on watch, and I've been assigned midnight guard duty."
Jack folded his arms. "You're strong, Zoro. But your body isn't made of steel. Humans need at least six hours of sleep every night. That's when the body repairs itself, when hormones like melatonin start working. You might not feel it now, but when you get older, you'll regret treating your body like that."
Zoro grunted. "Tch. I'll deal with that when I'm old."
Jack chuckled. "That's exactly what every idiot says before collapsing from exhaustion."
Zoro didn't answer this time, closing his eyes again, pretending not to hear.
Jack smiled faintly and looked up at the night sky. "Well, from now on, you don't have to worry."
"What do you mean by that?" asked Zoro.
"I'll build a robot, so you can sleep at night," replied Jack.
Zoro just looked at him but said nothing.
PRESENT TIME
"J.A.R.V.I.S. is here, sir," said the hologram.
Everyone froze, staring in disbelief at the glowing figure hovering in the air.
Jack smirked and introduced it proudly. "That's our new watchman. With J.A.R.V.I.S. on board, the ship's secured. He'll detect any marine, pirate, or sea creature within five kilometers. You can all sleep peacefully from now on."
Usopp yawned loudly. "Finally! I can sleep without worrying about waking up to a sea monster!"
Sanji chuckled. "Guess you're putting your weird inventions to good use, huh?"
Jack nodded. "Exactly. J.A.R.V.I.S. can even activate the defense system if someone tries to board us."
He turned to Zoro. "So that means no more night shifts for you. Go get some real rest."
Zoro hesitated, then muttered, "Fine… but if that thing fails, I'm blaming you."
"Noted," said Jack, amused.
By night, the sea had turned black, and the only light came from the moon and the stars. Normally, the Merry would stop sailing at midnight — the waves were too unpredictable, and visibility was poor.
But with JARVIS now integrated into the ship, they could travel safely even under the cover of darkness. The Merry glided smoothly across the dark waters toward Whiskey Peak, guided by the ship's new AI and Jack's careful programming.
Nami won't even need to navigate, but still she will ask Jack for manual controlling otherwise how could she achieve her dream.
Down below deck, sparks flickered and metal rang as Jack worked tirelessly in the workshop.
By the time the island came into view, everyone new armor was ready.
Jack called the crew to gather on deck. He stood beside several metallic cases, his expression proud but calm.
"Alright, everyone," he announced, tapping one of the boxes. "Meet the Vibranium Suit V3."
Luffy eyes widened immediately. "WHOA! It's shiny! Shiny and cool!"
Jack grinned. "This version can withstand up to ten thousand degrees Celsius. It can also generate its own heat, so if we ever face someone who can freeze or burn us, we'll be fine."
"Tch… I don't need a suit," Zoro muttered, folding his arms.
Jack smirked. "It's not for you, Zoro. It's for your sense of direction."
Zoro face darkened instantly. "...I'll take it."
The rest of the crew burst out laughing. Even Nami was chuckling behind her hand.
Each suit when deactivated was different, it is not like futuristic armor, but rather fantasy-style combat uniforms, sturdy, sleek, and laced with intricate glowing lines of energy. Jack had chosen the design intentionally, thickening the Vibranium plating to store more energy while keeping the aesthetic natural to their world.
When it was activated, they will become like a black panther suit.
He'd also slipped in a few surprises, like flight capability up to 100 km/h but didn't tell anyone. It would be more fun to let them figure that out later.
Zoro flexed his arm, testing the joint movement. "Feels solid. Guess it's good enough."
Jack then turned to Vivi, holding up a sleek black suit with soft blue highlights that shimmered faintly in the sun.
"And for you, Princess," he said, "I made a few adjustments."
"Adjustments?" Vivi asked, blinking in surprise.
"This one's special." Jack tapped the chest plate. "It projects an illusion field. To anyone looking at you, you'll appear as someone else entirely, different face, voice, even height if you want. That way, your identity as Princess Vivi stays hidden, and Alabasta won't suffer because of your choices."
Vivi's eyes softened. "You really think of everything, don't you?"
Jack smiled faintly. "That's my job. You're part of the crew now — protecting you means protecting our captain dream."
"Jack-senpai… you're amazing!" Bartolomeo shouted, practically trembling.
Jack turned to him with a grin. "Oh, before I forget, this one's for you too."
He tossed Bartolomeo a green-black suit lined, it is green are matching bartolomeo hair.
Bartolomeo caught it, stared at it… and burst into tears.
"M–me? I get one too?! I can wear the same uniform as Luffy-senpai's crew?!"
"Of course," Jack said with a small chuckle.
Bartolomeo dropped to his knees because his leg suddenly didn't have energy, clutching the suit to his chest. "Luffy-senpai! I swear I'll protect this suit with my life! I'll polish it every day! I'll sleep in it!"
Luffy laughed so hard he nearly fell over. "You don't have to sleep in it, Barto!"
Even Zoro smirked. "At least his loyalty's thicker than the armor."
Jack shook his head, amused. "Alright, alright no crying over armor."
Then his gaze shifted toward Dragon, who had been quietly watching from the side.
"By the way, Dragon-san," Jack said, his tone softening. "There's one for you too."
Dragon raised an eyebrow. "I also get one?"
"Yeah," Jack nodded. "Though your design's… a little different."
He opened the final case, revealing a dark emerald suit etched with silver veins shaped like wind currents. The chest symbol resembled a swirling dragon — subtle but powerful.
The crew went quiet, even Luffy stopped laughing.
Dragon stepped forward, studying the armor silently. The way the light caught its surface reminded him of storms — calm, yet dangerous.
"…It's beautiful," he admitted at last, his voice low. "You made this for me?"
Jack nodded. "You've fought for freedom your whole life. This suit's designed to move with the wind — fast, light, and strong enough to withstand bullets or heat. It won't slow you down."
Dragon placed a hand on the armor. For the first time, a faint smile tugged at his lips.
"Thank you… Jack. I didn't expect this."
Luffy grinned wide. "See, even my dad gets a cool one!"
"Oi, so your dad's part of the crew now too?" Sanji joked.
"Why not?" Luffy laughed. "The more the merrier!"
Jack chuckled, looking around at the group before teasing Luffy.
"Luffy your dad armor can shoot a laser," said Jack.
Suddenly luffy freezed, his eyes widen and his mouth open wide.
"WHATTTTTTTTT!"
