"Did it work?" Seeing Fua open his large eye, his subordinate asked nervously.
It couldn't be helped—the Dragon's power was so overwhelming that it shattered the largest scouter on the planet.
With no hope of stopping the enemy, they had come up with a desperate plan: disguise Fua as a member of the Human race and try to scare the Dragon off by invoking the authority of the Magic Council.
"No need to worry, it's Grandmaster Ruu." Fua's voice carried a hint of excitement as he floated using his soul powers.
"Grandmaster Ruu?... You mean Sai…Saint Ruu? Oh my God, why has no one informed us!!" Clair, Fua's assistant, began to panic.
"Clair, no need to worry. It's not like Grandmaster Ruu personally came. Maybe it's just a Soul Projection or one of his Avatars." Seeing Clair panic, her colleague tried to calm her down while also trying to make himself look cool.
"It's neither a Soul Projection nor an Avatar. Grandmaster Ruu is here in the flesh." Watching his male human subordinate attempt to flirt in such a moment, Fua had the urge to kick him in the balls.
A mighty powerhouse like Grandmaster Ruu was personally visiting their small world, and this idiot was focused on flirting.
"What!!" The male human's eyes went wide, and he immediately took off.
"Now where is he going? Never mind. Clair, prepare the teleportation formation. And remember, fully charge it." After giving his instructions, Fua hurried off to make arrangements for the welcoming ceremony.
Leaving the central command, Fua headed straight toward the capital city of their world.
"This is…" Upon arriving in Krolan City, Fua was stunned by the decorations and banners spread across the streets.
The whole city was in chaos, yet the citizens were working together to prepare for the ceremony.
"Sir, took you a while to get here." Turning around, Fua saw the smug look on his male subordinate's face.
"Kapoor, this is the reason I keep you around." Feeling the heavy burden on his shoulders lighten, Fua patiently waited for Grandmaster Ruu's arrival.
A quarter of an hour later, a majestic aura descended upon the Krofun World.
"We welcome the Great Saint!"
"Welcome, Great Saint!"
"May His Majesty bless you!"
Amid the cheers and chants of the massive crowd, Grandmaster Ruu entered the Krolan Palace.
"I would love to stay, but Fua, I am in a hurry." Before Fua could say anything, Grandmaster Ruu declined the idea of any banquet.
"Of course, Grandmaster. The teleportation formation is already prepared. Where would you like to go?" Seeing that Grandmaster Ruu truly seemed pressed for time, Fua respectfully led him toward the formation.
"I am heading to the Heavenly Palace. Check which location is the closest." Grandmaster Ruu followed behind Fua at a slow pace.
"Hea… Heading to the Heavenly Palace? Unfortunately, there isn't any access point that connects directly to it. However, we do have access to a small world currently near the Rucant system," Fua explained, clearly surprised by Ruu's destination.
The Heavenly Palace was not a place one could simply travel to. Fua had only ever heard of it through his mentors at the Magic Council.
"Rucant World? Perfect." Knowing that Fua had access to a world near the Rucant system, Grandmaster Ruu's expression brightened with relief.
As the economic hub of the Verse, Rucant World housed teleportation formations that connected to all the major powers: the Magic Council, the Round Table, the Soul Palace, the Mystery Cave, and even the Heavenly Palace itself.
"Clair, set the teleportation formation to Planet Uyan."
Seeing Grandmaster Ruu pleased with the arrangement, Fua immediately ordered Clair to align the formation's coordinates.
"On it, Sir!"
The teleportation room filled with light as the magic circles flared to life. With practiced focus, Clair copied the current coordinates of Planet Uyan from the catalog and carefully inscribed them into the formation.
Moments later, the array stabilized, forming a solid link to the teleportation formation on Planet Uyan.
"All done." After double-checking every detail, Clair finally spoke with confidence.
"Grandmaster, please."
Nodding at Clair, Fua respectfully guided Grandmaster Ruu to the center of the glowing formation.
"I should construct a few teleportation formations on Frokuin as well."
Standing in the center of the glowing array, Grandmaster Ruu thought to himself.
In the Ascension Verse, there are four recognized Paths to power: the Soul Path, the Ki Path, the Magic Path, and the Law Path.
Among them, the Verse is overwhelmingly dominated by the Ki Path.
Nearly sixty percent of all Transcendents follow the Ki Path. Another twenty-five percent walk the Magic Path, ten percent pursue the Law Path, and a mere five percent spend their lives on the Soul Path.
The core reason for the Soul Path being so unpopular is due to the scarcity of resources.
In the entire Ascension Verse, there are only three Planets with Spirit Cores capable of supporting Soul Cultivation.
So, to protect themselves from being raided, these three Planets have completely shut themselves off.
However, after the arrival of the Heavenly Lord, the dynamics of the Verse completely shifted. Most of the powerhouses left to join various inter-Versal organizations.
While broadening their horizons and honing their skills, these powerhouses also sent a steady supply of important resources back to the Verse.
Now, Soul-related resources are available to all the major powers, and the Soul Palace has even begun considering lifting the ban.
While Grandmaster Ruu was lost in thought, a bright light flashed and he disappeared.
"This…?" Traveling through the fabric of space-time, Grandmaster Ruu arrived at Uyan. But instead of a bustling city, his surroundings were nothing but rubble.
The whole place seemed to be overrun by behemoths.
Stepping out of the destroyed building, Grandmaster Ruu scanned a ten-kilometer radius but found no sign of life.
"Maybe a war is currently going on in this world." Thinking of a possible explanation, Grandmaster Ruu rose into the air and headed toward outer space.
"World Barrier?" As he was about to leave Uyan, he came across a thin membrane blocking his path.
"This aura… so familiar." Just as Grandmaster Ruu prepared to break through the barrier, he sensed a familiar presence within it.
