"What the!?"
"What happened?"
"An assassian?"
The moment the woman in front fell dead, the rest of the members of the Heavenly Sword Sect seemed to be suddenly jolted awake. They looked around in confusion as if still in disbelief over what had just happened.
But this state of theirs didn't last for long. A few of them took out their sword before rushing towards Cang Yue with all their might.
In an instant, their swords were enveloped in a white translucent light, indicating the usage of Internal energy.
Cang Yue, on the other hand, didn't seem too bothered by it. She just took another deep breath, slightly tilted her head and suddenly rushed forward.
The first sword was about to chop off her head when she raised her finger, and with it, the long needle hit the sword in the middle, instantly shattering it into pieces. The woman who made that move lost her body's balance with the loss of the sword as her figure plunged forward, but what greeted her was the thin, long needle that pierced through her chin to her head, bringing her figure to an abrupt halt.
Cang Yue didn't even give her a glance as she twirled her finger, throwing away her body along with bits and pieces of the brain that were stuck on it.
"Heh!" Looking at the three incoming swords, one of which was aiming for her neck, the other for her torso and the last one hoping to cut her diagonally from her shoulder, she just sneered in response.
She just jumped slightly, her curvy body barely passing through the middle of the two swords, aiming for her neck and torso with her large breasts grazing against the top one, while her perky buttocks against the bottom ones as she flicked her finger, throwing the needle to the incoming sword, intending to cut her diagonally. The needle didn't face any obstructions. The moment it came in contact with the sword, it pierced through it like a hot knife through butter before puncturing a small hole in the attacker's forehead as it began to seep brain and blood.
And before she could land, she flicked her two hands again, and this time, her target was the two women who had just aimed for her neck and torso.
The two of them couldn't even react. They only saw the attacker easily dodging their attacks by passing through the middle of their sword before flicking her finger, and with that, their vision turned dark as they fell into eternal slumber.
All of this takes time to explain, but it happened in the time it takes a spark to fly off a flint.
In just a few moments, four women were dead.
The few members of the Heavenly Sword Sect at the very end who were confused why everyone stopped finally realised what had just happened.
"KILL HER." No one knows who shouted first, but it was like a stone thrown in the middle of a serene lake. In that instant, every single person there took out their swords and rushed towards Cang Yue, intending to chop her into countless pieces.
"Now this is what I am talking about." Instead of being nervous, Cang Yue was getting more and more excited. Just how long has it been since she last faced off against such a large group?
With a seductive smile on her cherry red lips, she waved her hand, and with that, the long needle that was embedded in the tree in the distance flew back to her.
Looking at the large crowd, rushing towards her with their glowing sword, Cang Yue just shook her head in response. The majority of the women attacking her couldn't even use all of their internal energy. Almost all of them were in the Foundation Forging stage, with only a handful at the peak, but even they were no match against someone like her who had already reached the limit of Vein Expansion.
She could directly use her internal energy to pat them to death from a distance of ten meters, but where was the thrill in that?
With a smile, she rushed forward, her figure constantly moving between the members of the Heavenly Sword Sect.
She looked like a ghost, with her figure barely dodging the swords as she thrust the long needle. Under the reflection of the moonlight, the tip of the needle shone like a gem, with each thrust claiming a life.
Sometimes, she would even use it as a sword with its tip cutting through their bodies. But due to its sharpness being limited only in its tip, it would only leave a long tear in their skin, which Cang Yue would often pull apart with a smile on her face, leaving behind blood-curdling screams.
In less than five minutes, the hundred or so members of the Heavenly Sword Sect were already lying on the ground, with the majority of them dead and only a handful of them alive, with their limbs punctured.
"That was fun." Cang Yue's white robes were now covered in blood, dyeing her red. A few of the bloodstains dyed her face red, which she wiped with her thumb before using that same thumb and blood to rub her lips, adding a bloody charm to her appearance.
"Mon... MONSTER." One of the few surviving women couldn't help but curse out in anger and fear.
The woman in front of them, whose entire body was covered with a layer of black fog, butchered them like pigs. She didn't even break a sweat. And most importantly, she did it all without even using an ounce of Internal Energy.
They had never seen such a monster in their entire lives.
"Oh, you should save that word till I am done with you." Cang Yue's eyes were filled with bloodlust as she let out a laugh before stepping towards the handful of survivors.
All of them had the joints of their limbs punctured, and their stomachs and backs had long, narrow bleeding scars that were made from the tip of the needle.
Cang Yue just licked her lips as she came in front of the first woman before placing her hand on her stomach, on the scars. With a smile, she looked the woman in the eye as her fingers slid inside the scar, just above the muscles and beneath the skin.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH..."
A mournful scream tore the silence of the night.
Cang Yue, on the other hand, didn't seem too bothered by it. She was so excited that she forgot about her mission and even the dangers of the place.
Once her fingers were under that woman's skin, she slowly clenched her fingers before slowly pulling her skin off.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Another bloodcurdling scream echoed as Cang Yue leisurely began to pull off her skin. She would occasionally use her needle to lift the skin off the places where it got stuck.
It took her less than three minutes to completely remove the skin from the woman, leaving behind a bloodied figure who was still in agonising pain.
Cang Yue didn't kill her, but focused on the remaining survivors as an eerie smile ran across her face.
The rest of the survivors, after seeing the fate of the first woman, were filled with absolute terror. They wanted to run away, but their legs were injured. They wanted to scream, but no voice came out. They could only stay there like pigs, waiting to be slaughtered.
For the next twenty minutes, that place was filled with screams of terror. A few of them begged, a few of them cursed, and the remaining even tried to negotiate. But how could Cang Yue let go of them?
She took her sweet time to skin them alive, and once she was done skinning the last person, she took out her needle and attached a thin silk-like thread behind it before piercing their legs and stringing them together.
She then looked at the screaming and slithering garland that she had crafted with satisfaction before hanging it on a tree.
"That should do it." After taking one last look at her masterpiece, she nodded in response, turned around and was about to take out the paper bird to return when her eyes narrowed into slits and her breathing almost stopped.
Sitting behind her on the branch of a tree was a woman in a white mask, leisurely watching her.
"Done so soon?" The other party seemed to be enjoying the show she put on.
"I..." Cang Yue slowly stepped back as she grabbed the needle in one hand while holding the paper crane in the other.
She knew she was no match for the opponent. Someone who could arrive behind her without any sound and watch her with such leisure wasn't something she could take on.
After taking a few more steps back and making sure that the distance was enough, Cang Yue immediately threw the needle with all her might. Even when she fought against the group of more than a hundred people, she didn't use any internal energy, but this time... this time she poured all her internal energy into that attack.
The thin, long needle was enveloped in a dazzling layer of white, which seemed to illuminate the surroundings as it made its way towards the woman in a mask.
Cang Yue didn't even gaze at the outcome. The moment she shot the needle, she poured ten pills into her mouth and immediately took out the paper bird to make an escape.
The woman in the mask just shook her head in response before raising her hand and clasping the needle with her two fingers. The monstrous internal energy disappeared the moment it touched her hand like a snowflake under the sun.
She then gently raised that needle before tapping it on the nearest leaf, and the moment she did that, Cang Yue felt the world around her falling apart before she lost consciousness.
Even though it takes time to explain, it all happened in the blink of an eye. From Cang Yue throwing the needle, to the woman in a mask catching it and tapping the leaf, to Cang Yue losing consciousness. Everything happened in an instant.
The masked woman stood up before taking a step forward and arriving near Cnag Yue. She then picked her up, turned around and was about to go back before she paused.
"Oh! I almost forgot." Hearing the painful wails of the women behind her, she raised her hand and snapped her finger, and with that, the skinned women who were still screaming in agony lost their lives.
The woman quietly made her way towards the nearest peak, where she was greeted by the guards on duty.
"Grand Elder?" Upon looking at the masked woman in front of them, the guards there immediately bowed in respect.
"Umm..." The woman in white threw the body of Cang Yue to them.
"Lock her up." Turning around, she spoke one last sentence before disappearing. "Also, make sure to head down to the fourth zone and bring back the dead members of the sect. Since they have given their lives for the sect, we will not treat them unfairly."
The guards didn't dare to neglect her orders. After giving her one last bow, they immediately took unconscious Cang Yue to the prison before locking her up and then heading to the area Grand Elder had pointed out to them.
.
.
The next day, a piece of news that shook the entire Yan Kingdom spread out.
The Dualtiy Sect's saintess ambushed and killed over a hundred members of the Heavenly Sword Sect.
Though the saintess was captured, this blatant action of slaughter was a direct slap in their face.
In rage, the Heavenly Sword Sect declared war against the Duality Sect.
The Dualtiy Sect, on the other hand, was furious and accused the Heavenly Sword Sect of kidnapping their Saintess. They too declared war against the Heavenly Sword Sect.
In just a single day, things escalated from small skirmishes to a full-blown war.
And Yang Ze, who was still unaware of these things, was scratching his head in confusion after looking at the new transparent screen in front of him.
