At noon, inside the Goddess' Feast.
Hestia's territory.
Second floor, private room.
A large round table sat in the center, with ten seats arranged around it.
Emiya sat beside Hephaestus.
Kamado Tanjiro sat across from him, two seats away, his posture stiff.
His gaze kept drifting toward the door, as if he were waiting for someone.
Soon, the door creaked open.
"I'm here! I brought the person you were looking for."
Hestia strode in confidently.
As she spoke, she stepped aside.
A tall male god entered.
He had a handsome face and a warm, noble smile.
Even dressed in a plain gray robe, his elegant bearing stood out-clearly different from humans or demi-humans.
This was the main guest Emiya had invited.
Miach.
"Oh? Hephaestus, you're here too."
Miach shook his sea-blue hair, surprise flashing across his gentle expression.
"Do you and Hestia need something from me?"
Hephaestus set down her glass and pointed toward Emiya.
"You're mistaken, Miach. The one who wants to see you today is him. My business partner. Hestia and I are just intermediaries."
Miach looked even more surprised and glanced back at Hestia.
Hestia closed the door behind her.
"Sorry for calling you here like this, Miach."
Miach shook his head calmly.
"I don't mind. I'm just curious who this is."
Emiya stood and introduced himself.
"Greetings, Miach-sama. My name is Emiya. I'm Hephaestus's business partner."
"And my benefactor," Hestia added.
"Without Emiya, this restaurant wouldn't exist."
Miach's eyes flickered briefly before his smile returned.
"So," he said, "what do you need from me?"
Emiya looked toward Kamado Tanjiro.
Tanjiro immediately stood.
"I apologize for troubling you, God-sama," he said, bowing deeply. "I asked to meet you because of my sister."
"Your sister?" Miach frowned slightly.
Tanjiro moved quickly, drawing the curtains shut to block the sunlight.
Then he opened the wooden box beside him.
Inside lay a sleeping girl.
Long hair.
Pink kimono.
Black haori.
A bamboo muzzle resting in her mouth.
Miach stared.
For a moment, the scene made Tanjiro look like someone transporting suspicious, non-recyclable waste.
"No-this is a misunderstanding!" Tanjiro immediately sensed the shift in Miach's gaze.
"I don't want to do this, but Nezuko-Nezuko is-"
After a hurried explanation, Miach finally understood.
Tanjiro's sister had been attacked by a demon.
Demon blood had turned her into one.
She feared sunlight.
She could prey on humans.
To stop that, Tanjiro restrained her with a bamboo muzzle.
Because she had never eaten a human, she had fallen into deep sleep to preserve herself.
After hearing everything, Miach looked at Tanjiro with new eyes.
"You're a very worthy older brother."
Tanjiro lowered his head.
"Thank you for saying that, God-sama."
Miach smiled faintly.
"Take her out. I'll examine her."
Tanjiro nodded quickly and carefully lifted Nezuko from the box, placing her gently on a chair.
Miach began his examination.
Tanjiro watched anxiously, afraid of hearing the words he feared most.
A few minutes passed.
Miach released Nezuko's arm and nodded.
"This won't be a problem."
Tanjiro froze.
Then his eyes lit up.
He immediately dropped to his knees in a full dogeza.
"Please, God-sama. Please save my sister."
Miach helped him up.
"Relax. I'll help."
Emiya spoke at that moment.
"Since Miach-sama can treat Kamado Nezuko, we should discuss the payment."
Miach sat down and looked at Emiya.
"You're paying?"
"No," Emiya said calmly, shaking his head.
"I haven't known Kamado Tanjiro long. I brought him here because he's a good older brother. That's all. I won't pay for him."
Tanjiro nodded firmly.
"Yes, God-sama. I don't have much money, but I'll work hard and pay for the treatment myself."
Miach looked troubled.
"This treatment won't be cheap. And my familia is small... Could we consider another form of payment?"
The Miach Familia had once been strong.
They had competed directly with the Dian Cecht Familia in medicine.
But an adventurer named Naaza Erisuis lost her right arm in the dungeon.
She developed a fear of monsters and could no longer adventure.
Miach went into massive debt to buy her a prosthetic arm.
Faced with that astronomical sum, the rest of his familia left.
Now, only Miach and one adventurer remained.
"That's easy," Emiya said.
"I have an idea."
Miach looked up. "Let's hear it."
Emiya turned to the stubborn boy.
"Kamado Tanjiro."
"Yes!"
"From today onward, you'll join the Miach Familia. You'll enter the dungeon daily. Other than basic living expenses, you'll hand over all monster drops to Miach-sama."
"Huh?" Tanjiro blinked.
Dungeon?
Monster drops?
These words meant nothing to him.
"You don't want to?"
"No!" Tanjiro replied immediately. "If that's the condition, I'm willing!"
Emiya nodded.
"Miach-sama?"
Miach waited.
"Kamado Tanjiro isn't an adventurer," Emiya continued, "but his swordsmanship is excellent. He's proficient in Water Breathing-and Sun Breathing. If he gets serious, he can defeat a level two adventurer."
Tanjiro panicked.
"I only know Water Breathing! I've never learned Sun Breathing!"
"The Hinokami Kagura is Sun Breathing," Emiya said flatly.
"...Is that so?"
Emiya ignored him and looked back at Miach.
"A newcomer with level two combat strength should help with your familia's finances."
Miach smiled bitterly.
"You really know how to pressure people."
Emiya didn't push.
"If you don't want this, we can find another solution."
Hephaestus spoke up.
"If you refuse, Miach, I'll pay for the treatment. But Kamado Tanjiro joins my familia."
Tanjiro froze, torn between shock and excitement.
Miach thought for a moment.
Then he clapped his hands.
"Alright. I accept."
If Tanjiro truly had level two strength, he would grow quickly-and help immensely.
Emiya nodded.
"Congratulations, Kamado Tanjiro. You're now a member of the Miach Familia."
Tanjiro bowed deeply.
"Thank you, Miach-sama."
Miach smiled and helped him up.
"Kamado Tanjiro isn't familiar with Orario or the Divine Blessing," Emiya added. "You'll need to teach him the basics."
Miach laughed.
"That won't be a problem."
Hestia clapped her hands impatiently.
"Since the serious stuff is done, can we eat now? My kid just learned a very interesting new recipe."
Hephaestus smiled. "I'll try it."
Miach nodded eagerly.
"The Goddess' Feast has risen incredibly fast. I've wanted to eat here for a while-but money's been tight."
With Hestia's command, dishes arrived in under ten minutes.
The "very interesting dish" was-
Mapo Tofu of Illusions.
Emiya laughed quietly.
It seemed Fairy Pai's dish had left a deep impression.
Even now, they were trying to replicate it.
Emiya picked up a piece of tofu and tasted it.
Then he paused.
"I was wrong," he said. "They didn't copy it. They chose a different path."
The appearance was similar.
But the flavor and texture were entirely different.
It had departed completely from the original six-in-one Mapo Tofu.
