------------
Far away in the Templar base in Brooklyn, New York, which was formerly the Fraternity of Assassins headquarters.
"What's going on?" Wesley and Fox followed a Templar knight into a secret room.
"I don't know why, but the Loom suddenly started moving," the Templar leading the way replied. "And it's moving on its own, without any power source!"
Wesley and Fox exchanged a glance and quickened their pace.
They naturally knew what this meant.
By the time they arrived at the secret room, the Loom had already stopped. On the table, a brand new piece of fabric lay quietly.
"Let's decipher it together." Wesley and Fox looked at each other and spoke at the same time.
Then, the two began to examine the regular binary code on the fabric with a magnifying glass, recording it and starting to decipher.
It was still a long string of English letters without punctuation or spaces, but it wasn't too difficult to crack; it just required a little extra time.
Soon, Fox and Wesley deciphered the code, writing the content on a piece of paper.
?The convergence of destiny, the return of the gods, they have returned. This world is about to return to its proper course. The trajectory of fate has changed once again.?
Word by word, Fox read the message aloud.
"Uh... if I'm not mistaken..." Wesley thought for a moment, "in this situation, shouldn't we call Mr. Morin?"
"What do you think?" Fox looked at Wesley with a gaze that suggested he was an idiot.
"Quick, call him!"
Meanwhile, in front of the Roman Continental Hotel, a bolt of lightning was moving through the High Table's armed personnel!
If you were to observe from a bird's-eye view, you would see that wherever the lightning passed, the armed personnel fell like stalks of wheat.
This bolt of lightning, which was Morin, had become the Grim Reaper's scythe, harvesting the lives of this group of people!
"Phew..."
After finishing off the last person, Morin put away the Sword of Eden in his hand and stood still.
Since the Sword of Eden could emit ultra-high currents, basically, the blood had been completely vaporized by the high temperature and pressure of the immense current before it could even fly out. Now, Morin's body, apart from some strange smells, was free of any bloodstains or other filth.
"After this world, I need to find a place to rest and relax properly..."
Morin thought to himself, relaxing his body and letting his system, which had been operating under a heavy load from the [Advanced Knight Bloodline] for a long time, rest.
Of course, Morin still maintained the necessary vigilance. Even without the Knight Bloodline, his inherent physical abilities were more than enough for him to react in most situations.
Morin had long had the idea of finding a place to relax.
By nature, Morin wasn't a person who enjoyed slaughter.
However, with the increasing number of killings recently, Morin had begun to vaguely notice a mindset, similar to "regarding human life as worthless," gradually growing in his heart.
This was a side effect of excessive killing, a kind of different "habit." Once you become accustomed to killing, your entire personality, way of doing things, and other aspects will be severely affected.
Morin didn't plan on letting himself become that kind of person.
So, after the matters in this world were concluded, Morin's plan was to first see what the next world would be. If it was easy, he would go and experience it, and take a break.
If it wasn't easy, he would first spend ten experience points to return to the Fast and Furious world and rest for a while.
Just as Morin was about to leave, the corner of his eye inadvertently caught a small speck of light.
A speck of light in the sky.
Morin instantly stopped in his tracks, looked in the direction of the light, and controlled his vision to zoom in.
"Holy shit..." Morin cursed a classic Chinese swear word as he looked at the approaching object. "Are they insane?"
"Ding-a-ling!"
Morin's phone rang.
He didn't have time to ponder, so he pulled out his phone, answered the call, and at the same time, left the area at his full speed.
There was no saving this situation; he would just have to die. Goodbye.
To be honest, Morin had considered the possibility of the High Table flipping the table, but he hadn't expected them to be so decisive.
The Roman Continental Hotel wasn't even completely his yet, and they were already launching a missile at it!
What could Morin do in this situation?
There was nothing he could do but run.
The missile would probably take over ten seconds to land. At Morin's peak speed, leaving the area would be very simple.
He activated the [Advanced Knight Bloodline] again, entered stealth mode, and started moving away from the Roman Continental Hotel at his fastest speed!
Because of the magic's protection, the phone call wasn't affected. This was one of the benefits of stealth.
Even though Morin's clothes weren't specially made, they were still protected by the magic from the strong air currents that came with extreme speed.
Otherwise, if he ran at full speed and all his clothes were gone... that would be a little hard to accept. Morin wasn't an exhibitionist.
"Mr. Morin, the Loom of Fate has new instructions again " Fox said at a very fast pace, relaying the contents of the deciphered fabric.
"Hmm..." Just as Morin was about to answer, he suddenly heard a dial tone from the other end of the phone, and a bright light flashed behind him.
He looked back and saw that the missile had accurately hit the Roman Continental Hotel, and a violent explosion was spreading!
The signal was probably cut off because a cell tower or something similar was destroyed.
Morin only just noticed this because his speed was faster than the speed of sound!
The shockwave and sound from the explosion couldn't catch up to him at all!
So, he only saw the scene, but heard no sound.
The sound of the wind from his running had also been blocked by the stealth magic.
He only stopped after running a sufficient distance. He was uncharacteristically breathing heavily, and it was a while before he heard the sound of the explosion and felt the now extremely weak shockwave brush past him.
"Phew... they really have some guts..." Morin said, panting with a sigh.
"But now, the most important thing should be the instructions from the Loom..." Morin thought about it, feeling a bit confused and his heart becoming heavy.
"What on earth does it mean?"
"The return of the gods... are there even gods in this world?" Morin was completely at a loss.
His mood was a little heavy at the moment.
He wasn't entirely sure of the Loom of Fate's capabilities, but just from the fact that it "knew" he was a "stranger from another world," Morin understood that this thing shouldn't be underestimated.
And while he didn't necessarily have to follow its instructions, they were definitely good for reference.
So, if these gods really existed... how strong would they be?
As Morin was thinking, a pillar of light shot down from the sky, landing with perfect precision five meters in front of him!
Morin's pupils widened slightly. He looked at the man who appeared as the pillar of light disappeared and entered the most vigilant state of readiness he had ever experienced.
The way the man appeared, his attire, and the spear in his hand all made Morin feel that he had to be on guard.
"You are very special," the man said, in English as expected. "You are a descendant of the Isu."
"...The Isu?" Morin's eyes flickered.
"Even the Isu didn't have your level of physical strength, so your body must have undergone some mutation," the man smiled slightly, and the spear in his hand surged with a golden light.
"I'm very curious about your body. Would you mind cooperating with my research?"
"I'm afraid not." Morin didn't even consider pretending to cooperate or launching a surprise attack. He immediately entered stealth mode, preparing to leave.
By now, he had a general idea of the other party's origin, and he was cursing internally.
The Isu were an alien race from the Assassin's Creed games, and their technology was almost god-like!
The Apple of Eden or the Sword of Eden were just standard weapons to them!
Just one Staff of Eden allowed Kassandra to live for over two thousand years while maintaining her appearance!
Under Ubisoft's imaginative license, a race with this level of technology was destroyed by a solar flare... a plot point that was certainly a bit of a stretch.
However, this didn't in any way lessen the caution Morin felt.
Would a race capable of interstellar travel be mindless enough to stand right in front of him without any precautions?
Especially after they must have observed his previous performance?
The answers to these questions were self-evident.
Morin had no desire to test the limits of an alien race's technology. A single misstep could lead to a catastrophic failure, and the chances of that were high, with potentially horrific consequences!
Of course, Morin had countless more thoughts he wanted to vent and people he wanted to curse.
What on earth was going on in this world?! This was just too much of an intrusion!
Before, the description for the Sword of Eden was "Bet you didn't expect me back," and now with this situation, he genuinely hadn't seen it coming!
"I wasn't asking."
The Isu man's eyes flickered, and a golden light shot out. Morin, who had disappeared, reappeared in his sight, glowing with a golden-red light that was conspicuously out of place against the surrounding dark blue visual field.
"I was stating a fact."
Eagle Vision!
The Isu man's gaze was fixed on Morin's location. Even though Morin had activated stealth, the man's gaze could still follow him.
"Very good. In addition to your superhuman speed and strength, I'm also very curious about this invisibility ability. It seems that a long-term genetic change has given you new abilities, which makes me even more interested..."
While he was speaking, Morin sped up his escape, moving even faster than he had when he was fleeing from the missile strike!
"A futile effort..." The Isu man shook his head. His spear was instantly fully charged, and a bolt of lightning shot out, heading straight for Morin!
Morin could be faster than the speed of sound, but he could never be faster than the speed of light.
Almost the instant the lightning was released, Morin completely vanished.
The Isu man was stunned.
Morin had not been vaporized by the lightning bolt; the man knew that.
However, even with his Eagle Vision, he couldn't see how or where Morin had disappeared.
Furthermore, even with the starship in space, he couldn't find any results!
"Interesting..." The Isu man looked around. "How did he do that?"
At the same time, Fox and Wesley, filled with worry for Morin, translated another piece of fabric that had automatically woven itself on the Loom.
?The stranger has left, but when he returns, he will bring a long-awaited balance. The true balance!?
