Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 — Something Off

In the Dimension Of Vampires

The training field of the Castle of Foreverness was wide and empty, yet the air felt heavy. Oban and Klein stood facing each other. No crowd. No sound. Only focus.

The moment Klein moved, the ground cracked under his feet.

Oban reacted instantly.

Their bodies vanished from sight again and again. Their speed was so fast that it felt impossible to watch. Only short flashes of movement appeared, like shadows colliding in the air. The force from their strikes pushed waves through the field.

Oban stepped back for a second and pulled out his vampiric blade. The blade glowed faintly red, breathing like it was alive.

Klein smiled and pulled out his dual blades. One blade reflected darkness, the other reflected light.

They rushed forward.

Clang!

Both blades crashed into each other with a sharp sound. The impact sent a shockwave through the field. Dust rose, and the air trembled. For a moment, time felt frozen.

The fight stopped there.

Klein slowly lowered his blades and looked at Oban with calm eyes.

"Good," Klein said. "You are more confident than I imagined."

Oban relaxed his grip and smiled slightly.

"Still," Oban replied, "I'm just at the beginning."

The wind passed between them as the scene slowly faded.

Far away from the castle, a mystery mountain stood alone. Tall trees surrounded it, and the moonlight barely touched the ground. The place felt old… and dangerous.

Rakan stepped forward.

He stopped in front of what looked like a cave and made a low sound with his throat. The moment the sound echoed, the cave began to glow. Stone walls shifted, and the shape changed.

It was not a cave.

It was a large house carved into the mountain itself.

The door opened.

An old man stepped outside. His back was slightly bent, but his eyes were sharp. The air around him felt heavy.

Rakan moved instantly.

He attacked without warning.

The old man dodged calmly, stepping aside with ease.

"Not so fast, Rakan," the old man said.

Rakan stopped and smiled.

"While you're still strong, uncle."

The moonlight fell on both of them. It became clear—the old man was also a werewolf.

The old man looked at Rakan with a serious face.

Rakan slowly turned his head toward the moon. His eyes glowed faintly.

"The time has already come," Rakan said quietly.

The wind howled as the scene shifted again.

Back at the Castle of Foreverness, night had fully arrived.

Oban walked through the endless halls of the castle. Since the castle was infinite, space had no limit. Corridors stretched far, yet always felt calm.

Oban reached his room.

It was medium-sized. Simple. Quiet.

He took a deep breath and sat down for a moment. His body felt tired, but his mind was clear. He lay down, closed his eyes, and slowly drifted into sleep.

In another part of the castle, Klein and Aijack stood together, talking in low voices.

Their faces were serious.

After a moment, Klein turned his head and looked outside through the tall window. The moon hung high in the sky.

He narrowed his eyes.

"Mr. Aijack," Klein said calmly, "the time is now close."

The silence answered him.
